I honestly don't know why we keep getting stuck on this game. I see some of you on a daily basis, sometimes multiple times a day. What is the deal here???

Well, it was a very close battle (because I almost ran out of attacking troops), but Byzantium fell.
Greeks: 10 Hoplites killed, 2 HC killed, 1 Worker and 1 Fire Catapult Captured.
Persians: 7 HC killed, 6 redlined-retreated
Killed a Greek HC in the middle of the North African desert. No losses.
Overall map:

City of Maronea captured: 6 Hoplites killed, 6 Persian Cavs killed.
The Persian ruler is not without mercy. We will accept a 100 year (20 turn) truce if you cede to us the Crete town of Enetria (which we are about to capture anyway), and the Greeks will not interfere as we finish off the hated Egyptians and Scythians.

LouLong started a new turn 10 days ago. The last time I saw the game was 11 days ago. So it seems to be stuck somewhere between LouLong (the first player) and me (the last player). Did anybody die and not tell us?

Okay, what kind of crap is this I agreed to join?
I have no artillery whatsoever, none, zero, zilch. Since my military advisor shows I have not lost any, that means the previous ruler never built any !!!?
I have 4 workers, plus about 12 captured, I have only lost 2, do I need to say more?
I have stacks of units going to attack with garrisons (1/3/1) and legionary III (6/5/1) what is the point of bringing the garrison along? Meanwhile I have luxury slider up to 20% to keep some cities happy which are undefended since they are interior cities, if I had a couple of those garrisons there I would not need the lux slider now would I?
I offer no further complaints at this time, but next time I replace a player at least let me know my situation is hopeless before I agree.
My current goal is to simply stave off elimination, at least my Legionary III should go a long way to make that possible.
btw, DogBoy, would carthage consider a cease fire, please, please, please. I mean since I did agree to be a replacement I think you owe me one anyway.

well, DogBoy has refused the cease fire, i shall now throw everything i have at Carthage, and by that i mean gold so I can try to make him reconsider

Hmmm...Dogboy really should consider at least a 5 turn truce. Taking over a position like that isn't easy. Thanks for stepping in, Predesad!
The Persians captured Eretia (Crete) as agreed. The two Hoplites were left alone and they are certainly hoping a boat is coming to pick them up, I'll wager!

from now until Christmas is going to be very hectic for me, so I ask for patience if i do not take my turn the day i recieve it. i should be able to play by the second day at least. I apologize, i know i just agreed to take over the game but i am just bogged down right now. things will be much better after the holidays.
