I thought there shouldn't be fighting in the 1st turn...

Loulong, can you update players in #post1? I always go there if I have doubts (emails I tend to "lose").

Who know the master password? At least 2 people should, IMHO, to avoid finishing games due to it (like in Haiti1).

Oops ! Yes, sorry about that. Forgot to answer.
Indeed you can attack all troops within your territory but you cannot attack outside your borders on the first turn. After, the hunt season is open !

And of course hidden nationality units can be attacked as well...

Bombarded some nasty French units in the League holy ground!

Got carried away and sunk a French Carrack near Marseilles, lossing a Carrack myself.
As the French Carrack was in French territory the League does not consider this a break of the temporary no-fight treaty!

Question
Are Techs tradable?

.

Some, but not all. Major steps such as Seafaring and Late XVIth century techs are not tradable, most others are.
Of course the Msulim techs cannot be traded with Christian ones.

3 days since a turn notification was posted. Any idea where it is?

Oh, if any of you guys want a game of Conquests on the side, let me know via pm or email, please. I'd like to keep my gaming going while we're waiting here :P

Gmail is being very unreliable these days with sending file attachments; I've resent the turn. Let me know if you didn't get it.

The French have taken Castres and Narbonne. We also lost a few units trying to take Blois, Montpellier and Dijon. Dijon shall be taken next turn. We were disappointed with some of the action but overall we can be satisfied that the French will destroy these horrible Leaguers.

Fierce Irish warriors capture Newry and Belfast.
Spain has started a long and difficult war of attrition against the Dutch, slowly progressing against fortresses and flooded lands.

We are undergoing a strategic withdrawl from Ireland so enjoy your little "victory". We'll be back but you will not know where we will strike first.

Newry recaptured from the black as bog Irish Warriors. Only a skeleton force remains to counter the rabble.

In Netherlands Spain received a bloody nose. A Tercio was defeated outside Rotterdam. And forces counter-attacking from Breda defeated a Spanish Pike and Rider.
