C3C PBEM : Edesse - Medieval scenario-based PBEM

Byzantines... gg, this is going to be fun

The Danes are accepting offers of the pitiful weak nations of the world to not be hit hard from the sea. Failure to appease us will result in the doom of your nation. (Plus I will not be trading Seafaring for 11 gold or smithing for Castle Building like the AI does.)

Just do not forget to explore and everything gonna be alright ;)

Even though I'm way out in the boondocks on this one, (I've never played the Rus before, so I'm kinda looking forward to it...albeit I'll be pretty alone most of the game)... I urge the Christian Nations to think about an Alliance and united front against the Danes and their ultra-powerful zerker units and fast ships. I'm not plotting against the Danes, mind you. I'm just being realistic about your chances of standing up to them individually.

I tried to start but could not unless either I play the Abbasids or skip them for the first turn. :)

Our German people worship the Danes and will do anything they say. We can even gift them our relic in return for some turns of peace. :)

Seriously, it is pretty scary to start near such an opponent ruled by a skillful warrior. Don't know how we can survive.

I will gladly accept your gift. That will buy you 50 turns of peace. Any other takers??
I am not necessarily skilled in the arts of Civ as much as some of you are, but I love the warfare. Especially when my A/D is so much in my favor. I highly anticipate playing this game and seeing what I do. Do I settle peacefully in the northlands, or do I rampage south? Do I sack Byzantium, Spain, or Jerusalem. Do I screwup, and get whacke in the first 30 turns.

Ahem Danish longships with zergs abroad are not invited to Mediteranean... We will let pass any merchant ships that will try to establish contacts and to explore (in a modern sense of this word) :) though

Edit: 4-turn settler factory in the begining of the game  ... Constantinople is so cheesy...

Pb of starting solved. Sorry I did not pick up the right order of civs....

I tried to keep the same order of play so civs have been changed. Hope you guys like it, some might feel saved from former Danes ? (lol)

Oh dear this ain't good man I am not saying that I don't like Danes but I already feel sorry for the monk. Are you sure that there is no way to keep civs as they were?

Edit: Oh and if you keep them as they are now I promise to "visit" you in the first place

Good news! The game has finally started. The only thing I have modified in the scenario is the "preserve random seed" option. Otherwise, it remains intact. Attaching the file for everyone to inspect. Good luck!

Abassids plan to go to growth mode. There so many cities, roads, mines, irrigations, and improvements to build! The map is so empty... Let's stay in peace for the first few turns!

Germany reporting in....got it and sent on to the Rus (Eliitmaas).

he he it is so amusing to see this little cute alliance of Christian Nations :D
Imagine you feel so confident that Germans even refused to "gift" me Bremen! Well I can understand England for refusing to "gift" me relic because it is really fun to have it, but Bremen... Well I realized guys that if I won't cripple your progress now while you are weak I can have seriuos problems later so you can start fortificating your coastal cities...

Oh and I am not a warmonger type really, but I didn't said I can't become one if I have to. Anyway this confrotation will be useful for balance issues of the scenario later...
