C3C PBEM : "Fabius" - Rise of Rome scenario (level : newbees)

here i am.....
hello to everybody....
i'm very,very sorry for the delay on the start,but.....my cpu went crazy few days ago and i'm still fixing it...game runs very strangely,but it's running...
yes I did get save,but have one more problemo....now conq isn't patched and
it needs to be...so during the day I will download the patch and give it a go.If it works,great,game will go on....but if it does not...then i'm affraid you'l have to find another player...
keeping my fingers crossed because I was REEAALY looking forward to this one...ola
 
And I sadlly report that it's no use...no luck with the patch and can't get to load the 1.22 ver save file into 1.0.....anyhowe...you'll have to find another player...or does anybody has some soution or something?

Have you dowloaded the right v1.22, like the american or european version etc.?
I've downloaded it from civfanatics, installed it and it worked.
Have you tried that?
 
I hope that you get the right patch for the game.

But if not maybe we should post in replacement players hall?

ok...well,no luck....didn't manage to get it up and running so...you'll need a new player...sorry again for the trouble and the delay...wish you all good luck in conquest of the ancient world...ola
 
big mazy, couldn't you check before starting the game ? Apart from having a hacked copy I don't see how you could not sort things out but hell, that's not my problem.
I start to wonder whether you did not do something like that before actually... ?

Really sorry for the others. I have sent a PM to some would-be replacements. I think it would be best to restart it completely as otherwise you will keep the name and playing times of bigmazy which could slow the game and not be terrific, just for one turn played.
 
ok...man,first off all game worked fine when this pbem was in creation process...so how could I know....
and yes,definetly it's not your problem....so f....

About the playing order your replacement does not really change anything which is great.

Resent the new play order. Classical_hero should restart the game from scratch.

Better luck this time !
 
I'm willing to sub as a replacement player. I'm GMT-5 (Eastern USA). Email available upon request. Turnover within 24 hours at most. I usually can have turns in the afternoon or evenings. As for the Civ, Egypt is preferred, otherwise, just toss one my way.
