The Dutch did all they can ! Which means they did nothing really. Just bombarded Phuket.
Japs have 45k points. No way we can do anything to stop him but at least we can fight till the last minute.

With the fall of Kunming we captured 7 chinese artillery units.

Finally, Japan started to take us seriously and landed 2 marines on Truk to defend it. Unfortunately for them, our entire Pearl Harbour fleet was there to bombard the hell out of them. We captured Truk, and destroyed a sub and transport nearby. Unfortunately for us, they have 48k worth of VP....

WheN I started up the game I had 49500 points but once I took
Chunking, I checked the F8 screen again, I was 1000 points over.
I did not bother to play the rest of my turn.

This was the end in China, only 1 infantry left in the Capital,
I think the Chinese may have made a final attack against one of my infantry
which failed.

Congratulations on a splendid victory !
Not that it feels we ever stood a chance.... though. lol ! You even reached Australia (something I had never seen in any WWII Pacific game, be it SP or PBEM).

Thanks to all the allies for an interesting game.
If you want to try a scenario where Japan does not have
such an easy time I will be starting a game of version
3 of my TOS scenario soon ( later this week I hope).

Yes, congrats. We were hard pressed right from the start, and the pressure never eased off as I was expecting. If I were to play again, there would not be too many things I would do differently. Perhaps try and raise more revenue for my allies, and get that bomb out quicker. However, your attack on Truk would have been insuccessful I think, even if you did take it, there were a lot of units in them ships there to easily recapture it.
You should have seen the amounts of units I had sitting on Midway
, those units would have hindered your progress greatly if they were anywhere of importance.

@ Coletite : sorry for the time it took to have it really "on the road" and sorry Eric_A just gave us such a hard lesson but I hope to see you in other PBEMs.

That was a good game.
I really enjoyed it because defensive wars are my favourite.
Next time i would do the two turn worker trick in Ningsia - didn't know about that before this. I will also build more offensive units - i had plenty of artillery but not enough tanks to finish off redlined units. But i do also have to accept that most of the time in PBEMs, China gets pretty beat up.

2. Rush build a US worker and send him off to build an airfield.
3. Trade the city back to China.

No, actually, it is turning Nangsia into a two turn worker farm, instead of building units out of it. Much better
