Some coastal bombardment agaisnt the swedish and english fleet in the Chanel.

Nope, I do not see the immediate reason for a replacement, as this is a one time delay, I think...

I certainly don't want to see Luthor replaced, but is it worth getting Russia to play Britain's turn?

I agree - no replacement. I would be very hesitant to play any turns because Brit and France have large armies (F3) and me getting up to Luthor's strategy wavelength could be quite involved. IOW I wouldn't want to mess anything up. If there isn't much to mess up though I guess I wouldn't mind getting the game moving a little.

- Prussia launched its offensive on Vilnius.
A grand battery destroyed the road between the town and Minsk.
18 grand batteries reduced the defenders to 2 or 3 bars.
The Konigsberd Rebels killed two guards, but was reduced to 4/14.
Cuirassiers killed 2 guards and 2 conscripted jaegers. 2 cuirassier retreated and 3 were killed.
A cuirassier was promoted, creating a new great leader!
Fusiliers killed 2 jaegers, while 2 fusiliers were lost.

The town remains in Russian hands.

Vilnius - Pretty good battery luck to take Armies down but not enough offense to take them out. Kill 1 fusilier and 2 cuirassiers. Lose 4 guards and a jag.
Kiev - Also pretty good battery luck. Kill 8 hussars. Lose 2 guards, 1 jag and 6 cossacks.
