C3C PBEM : "Scipion" - Rise of Rome scenario-based PBEM

240BC ------> Carthage

One Egyptian spearman and one Persian horseman were lost in a desert skirmish.
A Macedonian Hoplite in the hills near Corinth was eliminated by a catapult and a horseman.
14 Immortals, 2 Archers, 2 Spearmen and 1 Horseman have camped in the hills overlooking the Macedonian city of Sardis.
Other than that, things were pretty quiet. :mischief:

Sent to Rome
We hope the Roman "tourists" are enjoying their holidays and will be heading back home soon. Hispania has no more room for settlement!

Roman "Tourists" will make that decision when I get my computer fixed. The turn is in my inbox and I hope to get it out sometime this week...

Sorry for teh delay...

Major battle against Persia, proved the superiority of the macedonian heavy cavalry against the immortals.
Alexander leading an army of heavy cavalry, 18 units of heavy cavalry, 1 archer and 1 hoplite attacked the invading persian army. The persian lost 14 immortals, 2 spearman an 2 archers. The macedonian lost only one unit of heavy cavalry.

Good work :goodjob: ! Could anyone post some screenies for us lurkers? :scan: :cool:

Because, I'm defending against the persian invaders, I can't post a screenshot cause it would give away the position of my forces... Sorry.

235BC ------> Carthage
In an failed attempt to take the Macedonian city of Corinth one Persian horseman was lost. The Macedonians lost one swordman defending the city.
Two Persian horsemen were lost in an attack on the Egyptian city of Pi-Ramesses. No Egyptian loses.
After the disastrous events of 240BC :eek: and these recent failures the generals have been summoned to the Capital to plan a new strategy. The role of the so called Immortals is being re-assessed. :hmm:

It's been a while since my lI played my last turn. Is the game stalled somewhere?
By looking at the posts, king arthur seams to be the one holding the turn.

I checked my mail and the 235BC turn was definitely sent but in case it got lost I have just re-sent it

I haven't seen the game since the 27th. It usually moves faster than that. I wonder if he's been out of town?

Sorry my fault. Been doing a lot of overtime at work. I've completed my turn and sent it on.

Rome has retaliated for the murder of a Legion and the enslavement of our citizens. The Carthaginians cannot be allowed to murder roman citizens and get away with it. One Heavy Cavalry has already been executed.

The slaughter of the persian invaders continues...
Persian losses:
3 horseman
6 immortals
2 spearman
2 archers
1 catapult

Macedonian Losses:
2 heavy cavalry

@north africa, one immortal was defeated by one of our swordsman.

That was rather silly of me wasn't it? If it's any consolation, know that your citizens make worthy sacrifices to the god Baal.

230BC --------> Carthage
Persian forces have captured the Macedonian city of Corinth. Corinth was attacked by catapolt and horsemen. The 2 defenders, a swordman and a hoplite, were eliminated after a valiant fight even though they were already wounded. :worship: Two Persian horsemen perished in the attack and an elite horseman was forced to withdraw.
Also the relief column sent to help Corinth was attacked by a horseman and an immortal. One hoplite was eliminated.
The Persians celebrate :beer: this small victory after the staggering loses in Asia Minor. :cry:
