Veii (Southern Gaul): The Veii plantation has been removed along with 2 Roman legions. Any further expansion by Rome in that area will be dealt with by our Iberian cavalry and our Celtic allies.
Sicily: The entire island is now in Carthaginian hands after the fall of Messana. 2 Roman legions fell in fierce fighting. The battle only went Carthage's way after the elephants were sent in. Carthage has now started a Golden Age!
Macedonian forces in the hills near Corinth were bombarded by catapolt. One Hoplite slightly wounded.
Three Persian Heavy Cavalry attacked the Macedonian column near Iconium. One Hoplite and one Heavy Cavalry were eliminated. The Persian Heavy Cavalry suffered injuries and withdrew.
The city was freed from the persian invaders. Persia lost one 2 horseman, and 1 catapult. Macedonia lost one hoplite, and gained a catapult.
Near corinth a persian fleet of 5 galleys was sunk by 8 of our galleys. unfortunately we lost 4 galleys.
Near Byzantium:
3 immortals and 1 spearman defeated by our cavalry. We lost 3 heavy cavalry.
Near Byzantium:
Persia lost 2 Archers and a Horseman in a futile attack against the Macedonians. The Macedonians only suffered slight injuries. I think I can kiss the remaining units goodbye.
Near Iconium:
The Macedonian forces approaching Iconium were attacked by Heavy Cavalry and Immortals. Macedonia lost 5 Heavy Cavalry plus some injuries. Persia lost 4 Heavy Cavalry, I Immortal plus injuries to other units involved in the attack.
Persian forces harassed the Macedonians occupying the captured city of Iconium. The Macedonians lost 1 Heavy Cavalry while Persia suffered injuries to 2 units.
Persian forces attacked the Macedonians who had captured our catapolts losing 1 Archer and 1 Immortal. The Macedonians lost 1 Hoplite.
The Golden Age that Persia has enjoyed for the past many years has come to an end. The Macedonians occupy a Persian city and have regained a foot hold in North Africa. The Emperor is not happy.

We also attacked the Macedonians holding Iconium. We failed to re-capture the city but took out 3 Hoplites, 1 Heavy Cavalry and I think we destroyed the Macedonian Army in the city. Not sure on that.

the rumors are true... Alexander died in iconium last year.
But iconium holds, and it's defenses were reinforced with 5 hoplites and 5 cavalry.
The cavalry units in iconium atacked the perian at the gates of the city, eliminating 5 Hv cavalry and one immortal. Our losses were just one cavalry.
Attacked Iconium with 1 Heavy Cavalry. Lost the unit in the attack when an Army popped up to defend. The Macedonians seems to have reinforced Iconium with another Army so we called off the attack for now.
In a major naval engagement south of Knossos, 4 Persian Galleys attacked a fleet of 4 Macedonian Galleys. Persia lost 1 Galley while Macedonia lost 3 Galleys.
1 galley lost and 2 Macedonian galleys sunk south of Knossos in the on going battle for naval supremacy of the eastern end of the Mediterranean.
Both sides continue to build up forces around the strategic city of Iconium.
The army you see in the picture above was defeated.
Five of our catapults wonded it, an corageous cavalry gave their lives to weaken the army some more, and our army of cavalry finally defeated it!
10 Other cavalry units atacked the remaining stack of immortals, defeating five of them, while loosing 3 cavalry.
Although the persian cavalry in the hills worries us, we strongly belive that iconium will hold.
