C3C PBEM : "Scipion" - Rise of Rome scenario-based PBEM

We are facing incursions on all fronts from the Macedonians. Persian forces are having little luck in repeling the invaders. Our attacks have resulted in more loses for our forces than those inflicted on the Macedonians. :( The lose of our forces near Iconium has sent shock waves through out the Empire.
On our northern coast another Macedonian force landed next to Sinope. We sank the galley that landed the troops but lost one of our own galleys in the attack. We lost an Archer and an Immortal attacking the landing force. No loses on the Macedonian side.
The Macedonian forces that had landed earlier were attacked again near Trapezus. We took out 2 Macedonian Heavy Cavalry but lost 1 Heavy Cavalry and 1 Immortal. Macedonian forces still remain and are a threat to the city.
The Macedonian force that destroyed our troops and captured our catapults near Iconium advanced on the city of Jinjan. The force was attacked repeatedly. Our forces lost 1 Heavy Cavalry, 2 Immortals and an Archer. The attack took out 1 Hoplite and injured several other units but the force is still a threat to the city and there are more units on the road behind them.

jijan:
walls destroyed, and some units injured in bombardment

Corinth:
bombarded persian forces with 5 catapults
lost 3 cavaly, and defeated 4 cav and 3 imortal.

Sinope
lost 4 galleys, and sunk just 1 :(

Corinth
Bombarded Corinth with catapult and destroyed the walls. Lost 2 Heavy Cavalry and took out 1 Hoplite in the attack. Did not take the city. The units lost in the pre-emptive strike by Macedonia blunted our attack.

Trapezus
Attacked the remnants of the invasion force. Lost 1 Immortal and took out 2 Hoplites. The remaining units are down to 1 HP.

Sinope
Attacked and sank a Macedonian Galley. No loses.

Jinjan
Attacked the Macedonian Army outside the city and knocked it down 5 HP.
Lost 4 Archers and 1 Immortal in the attack.
With no hope of defending the city against the large Macedonian force on its door step it was decided to evacuate the city and raze it.

There is great concern through out the Empire. The Macedonians continue to press us on all fronts and are gradually advancing towards the heart of our Empire.

Attacked the remnants of the Macedonian invasion force near Trapezus. Defeated 1 Hoplite, no loses.
Began a withdrawal of our forces near Corinth.

I'm just playing bloody knuckles with Carthage in southern Italy...

Corinth:
Defeated 9 spears, 1 immortal and 3 cav from persia. And captured 4 catapults.
Lost just one cavalry.

In the sea our fleet successfully defeated 4 persian galleys. Our losses were just two galleys.

I was unable to play and send the turn for a stretch of 5 days. BTW, Coulld you please refrain from zipping the save file to send to me. I often forget to unzip them until after I'm in the game and can't access the turn...

Battle report: I killed two Heavy Cavalry and a Numidian Merc in Southern Italy as the game of bloody knuckles continues...

Nothing but bad news from all fronts. The Emperor is not pleased. :(

Trapezus
Ran down and eliminated the last 2 Macedonian Heavy Cavalry from the invasion force near the city. No loses or injuries.

Sinope
Lost a Heavy Cavalry in an attack on a Hoplite west of the city.

We await the next round of bad news.

The city the Macedonians captured was Istakhr.
We made an attempt to retake the city. We attacked with 8 Heavy Cavalry.
We lost 2 Heavy Cavalry and the rest retreated after suffering severe injuries.
The Macedonians lost 4 Hoplites but held on to the city. An Army in the city was taken down to about 1 HP.
The Macedonians continue to threaten our Empire from numerous directions.

In other news, thw Heavy Cavalry (or was that three) and one Numidian Merc died in fighting against the Carthagian invaders.

Killed all the legions camped on the hills in southern Italia (4/5 of them I think). A small detachment has secured the hill in advance of the approach of our main WHOOPASS force.

Attacked Istakhr with 7 Heavy Cavalry.
Only defeated 2 Hoplites. Lost 1 Heavy Cavalry while the rest retreated.
Macedonian fleets are approaching all our coastlines. :help:

I just spent 85 BC continuing the fight with Carthage. Killed some units, don't remember what I killed...

Turn sent to Rome.

Nothing to report except the continued slugging of forces in the south and skirmishes in the north.

Sunk 4 persian galleys and lost one in the east mediterranean.
Near Istakhr, We defeated 10 Cav. and one immortal without losses.
We layed siege to another persian city int the west.
