I will leave the door open for Gnarf if he wants to take future Chinese turns but there will be no confusion over passwords this time and we will expect reasonably quick turnaround ... the Chinese turn just took me about 7 minutes to complete .....

Turn of a whole lota nothing.
Bombed Foochow with many bombers. 11 runs in a row failed (!!). Baracks and two citizens killed. Attacked with 28 Japanese infantry. 9 died while killing 19. Top defender in Foochow redlined. Moved in 28 more Japanese infantry. Move those 8 conscript/regular reinfocements in if you want, the city is mine

I had no idea Japan had so many starting ground (infantry) forces!!! Yikes! Someday I'll have to play the role of China in this scenario and see if I can survive!eric_A

I only played the Chinese turn because it looked to the rest of us as though Gnarf was holding things up when in fact he had already sent you the turn last night. Admittedly, Gnarf should have followed House Rules and posted GPS but that is no reason to ignore his turn and play the one I sent you.
@ Eric ... that would be due to the fact that Augurey should have sent the turn to myself for the British turn then it goes on to perkins for the French turn before it gets to you ... I have sent everyone two emails regarding order of play. If you could send the file back to me please Eric.
If the turn had arrived with me 3 1/2 hours ago when Augurey played, then the British turn would have already been played and the game would now be with perkins, maybe even have reached Eric by now. As it stands, I'm off to bed as I have an early start and a long day and i'll not be back until 1 am Sunday GMT. In the meantime I would suggest Augurey replays using Gnarf's file as it is hardly fair to exclude him when he had already played and sent.
I swear, I knew better. I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't see his email until I had played the turn; I thought I should comment on it....

I played the turn shortly after receiving the password (that night) and sent the file, but since I'm on Dialup, and have to disconnect to run Civ 3, I sent the files but didn't return to CFC to post. There was nothing to report.
Usually there may be a day between me getting the turn and sending it on. I don't get online until late at night, and depending on how late things run, I usually play the turn the next day and send it that night...

Played and sent - although I strongly suspect the file I played was my China save and not Gnarf's file .....
Kismayu (Africa) fell to Infantry for no loss.
Mogadishu (Africa) fell to Infantry for no loss although 1 Infantry redlined.
Tobruk shelled then captured by Infantry and Tanks for no loss.
9 Uboat stack Northwest of Hamburg ... 8 sunk for loss of 6 Destroyers.
German stack NE Paris bombed by RAF ... little better than 50% hit rate.
12 Destroyers and 6 Subs Northwest of Tobruk all sunk for loss of 3 Destroyers ... nice to get another crack at these

In preparation of the Battle of Paris, the Luftwaffe saw the following action:
-4 ME 109s, 4 Ju 88s, 6 Heinkel 111s, 4 Dorniers & 7 Ju 87Bs bombarded Paris. 3 French Fighters were shot down by ME 109s. 6 French Bombers & 2 French Fighters on the runway were also destroyed. The air raid resulted in 1 Citizen was killed as well as the Mass Transit System & Airport being destroyed. 6 Arty also bombarded weakening the garrison there. 1 ME 109 & 1 Heinkel 111 were lost to anti-aircraft.
Battle of Tripoli:
-3 Bombers, 3 Breda Dive Bombers & 5 Arty bombarded the French Forces approaching Tripoli. Itailian reinforcements whom arrived in port this week then attacked. 4 Tanks, 3 Motorized Inf & 3 Italian Inf def. 4 French Inf & 1 Cav (another Cav retreated). 1 Tank & 1 Motor Inf (Ger) were lost.
-2 Italian Bombers bombarded British forces between Bordeaux & Lyons.
-Italian Artillery destroyed the railroads (S) and roads (SE) by Lyons.
-Nice to know the Neutrals see who the good guys are!
Not that they will cause significant damage (and may even help 'train' American forces, but they will at least be bothersome.
-Soviet Russia, the Finnish-Soviet border appears to be how you said you see it during your turn. Finnish troops have retreated accordingly.
-And so far so good for the Axis. Best of luck Augurey!
