C3C PBEM -WWII-Game Thread (Tomorrow Belongs to Me)

This was a GREAT month for the German high command. It's hard to describe how happy we are due to our many achievements, but I will try.

England:
Lost the city of Athens (it was undefended)

Lost the city of Sparta to include:
Lost 2 infantry
Lost 1 flak
Lost 1 rifleman
Lost 1 artillery

Up in Norway:
Lost 2 tank
Your "invasion" force of 1 tank and 5 infantry are all 1/3 hp now. There is no shame in withdrawing them back into your transports.

Lost a cruiser in Southern England.
Lost an UNPROTECTED transport 6 spaces off the west coast of Spain. Was anything good in it?
Bombed the southern coast of England.

Sweden:
Lost 2 infantry
Lost the city of Benn

French:
Lost 5 infantry
Lost 1 worker
Lost the city of Bordeaux (it was undefended)
Lost the city of Lyons

Spain:
Lost 1 infantry on the French/Spain border
Lost 1 ironclad off Italian coast

Dutch:
Lost 2 infantry
Lost 1 rifleman
Lost the city of Belgrade

Germany:
Lost 2 panzers

As you can see, the German war machine was in full force this month. It was obviously due to replacing the incompetant German commanders we had executed last month. We can only hope to have many more months as good as this one.

Yes, we are. The Italians are now thinking of executing their generals just to improve morale and performance...

Yes, I would hope that we all play with the no reload rules. I wouldn't even think to ask anybody that because it should be so ingrained in these PBEMs by now.

@Dogboy--I think he was just praising your victories in an off-handed way.

On the Italian Front: Our victorious armies swept all resistance away and captured the newly established capital of the French, Marseilles! Along with the city came a wonderful bonus. There were these triangular structures that gave every city on the continent a free granary! In addition, our excellent Air Force sank a French capital ship (an ironclad, actually) off of Florence that had been bombing our grapes. :p

Not much else to report. As for those English troops outside of Tobruk (Tubruq), leave now or face the wrath of the mighty Roman Empire!...umm...I mean Italian, yeah! That's it! :p

We will soon be focusing our attention upon those treacherous Spanish and Swedes! They will face the awesome might of the Holy Roman Em...I mean, the Italian Empire!

One clerical note: Dogboy will be taking my turn during my vacation as long as nobody objects.

Battle Report
------------
Destroyed walls of tobruk

England: Lost 2 destroyers in North Sea

Germany: Lost 1 sub (I think, although I never saw it because they are invisible to me) in N.Sea and 1 Inf unit in France through my air bombing.

Although England continues to suffer heavy losses in all fronts, things are slowly coming into place and there are surprizes coming up.

RE: Next turn. I sent my turn file by email to Pirke and got returned an "autoreply" saying he was back on monday. I guess we will have to wait till then to continue?

I hope we don't have to wait until Monday. I will be working late Monday night so I won't be able to play my turn until Tuesday night.

Ummmmmmm...yes, I must agree the turn pace is being slowed down considerably, and the worst part is that we don't get any news about who's turn it is or when they expect to post it. That's yet another reason why I always prefer games where the turns are posted directly to the thread, that way we always know where the turn is...

I guess Pirke is having a work overload. Wonder if he will be able to tell us what to expect and maybe think of a substitute if he just can't go on at this moment or something.

It appears as if Pirke has stopped several other games. He must be really busy with his new business. I vote that we give him a couple days to answer the e-mail you sent him. We don't want to drop him right away. After that, find a replacement and give them the admin password unless you allied guys went with a common password.

Well, I think we have tried to contact Pirke, and we have waited since last saturday.

I would have preferred to continue with him, but it isn't fair on all the others who are playing to be in this situation, plus I really don't want this game to be cancelled as has happened to me in other ocassions when this situation has happened.

Therefore, much to my regret and everyone else, I am forced to ask for a vote from all the other players regarding whether we are to inmediately replace PIRKE, as player of FRance in this game.

If we all vote YES, let's all try to get a replacement. The only way I can think of, because I don't know any other players in this forum is posting a notice.

Thrust votes: YES

This is just bad news all-around, as he is in 3-4 other of my PBEM games.
:(
I vote yes.

Yes.

BTW, the way the game goes, having England play France is not a bad alternative, however, since France is independant in this version, I would like to see a replacement, if possible.

One final note, unless the game gets to me by tomorrow (Friday) I will be unavailable. Dogboy and I have the same password and we already planned for him to take my turns while I am gone.

Yes, I will play Rcoutme's game. However, if I don't get the game tonight (Thursday) I will most likely be unable to play it until Sunday night.

You can either give the replacement the admin password, or you can use the admin password to change the French password. If you do use the admin password to change the French password, you will have to take the French turn on that turn. If you are going to do that, you might as well just change the password right now and go ahead and play the turn. Then by the time the French's turn comes around again, you can give the game and the new password to the replacement.

Or, just give the replacement the admin password. I don't recommend this course of action.
