Ok, Thrust sent the game and posted over two days ago. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but we need to get this game going. I know each turn can take a while, and I know everybody is busy with work, school, whatever. But you need to play your turn when you get it. If you can't play your turn, then at least post here saying you got the game and you will play it tonight after work or something like that. If you are truly too busy to play your turn, then find a replacement and let them take your turn. If you aren't playing the game because you are too busy, then you shouldn't mind if somebody else plays your turn...because you aren't playing it anyway!

It's not me. I've never heard from Pirke.
(C'mon guys! You know me by now. I must have an average time of less than 1 hour in my in-box for my PBEM games. (not taking into account my last vacation!). It is a shame that this game is heading south like so many other PBEM games...I thought this group was different (sic. better)!

I've got it, sorry I didn't mention I was away a few days (thought about it when I already left home.) I'm able to do it tonight!

These are hard days for France, but we have our little victories: Germany lost a submarine southwest of England. Italy lost a tank, only 2 invaders left, 1 is t 2/4, the other at 1/3 or 1/4.

RE: Battle REports.
i think originally we talked about listing the causalties but also indicating the geographical point where it had happened. I'm the first one that isn't doing it, but i think it would be useful with such distant fronts ?
i.e.
2 subs in East Mediterranean
1 tank in Sweden

The Furher is please to report that many deaths occured this month. But he is not please to report that an inordinate amount were German deaths. The Furher is reported to fire his Panzer commanders and replace them with new commanders that vow to do better next month.

Battle Reports:
England:
1 Submarine south of England
1 Destroyer near Norway
2 Battleship: 1 off East coast of England and 1 near Norway
1 Cruiser off East coast of England
Bombed southern England

Sweden:
1 Infantry

Dutch:
1 Infantry
1 Worker
Lost city of Banja-Luka

Germany:
7 Panzer

France:
9 Infantry in various cities
1 Worker
1 Paratrooper
Lost city of Vichy
Lost city of Dijon
Lost city of Brest
Lost city of St. Nazaire
Lost city of Tours

Apparently the French gave some wine to the English navy and the army. I guess it's true what they say about the Ayrans being the master race. We are far superior to the French and the English in many ways. I know we are superior to the Russians but they have given us no cause to attack them...yet.

The Italian War Ministry is pleased to report that our temporary setbacks are now halted. We have ramrodded it to the enemy and expect their humble surrender pleas in a few days! [party]

A French cruiser near Florence was bombed by our air force and sunk. A Spanish cruiser (That treacherous Franco will pay! How dare he backstab us after we put him in power!) was sunk near Sparta. A French infantry unit was trying to hold out in the Alps near Marseilles, our victorious tank brigades stopped that! The silly English pig-dogs tried to threaten Tobruk (spelled Tubruq in the game...) so our tanks attacked and killed one of their infantry. Their shelling (which occurred right after I ended my turn) did absolutely nothing! :ar15:

The battleship (I have not named it yet, but will likely call it the Andrea Doria) that sank the Spanish cruiser began firing into the water after I ended my turn and then was promoted to veteran status, so I assume somebody is down one submarine. (Again, that was near Sparta in Greek waters).
[dance]
BTW guys, the victory points are all messed up. The game was supposed to look for one faction having 40/40 domination, however, there are no factions. Determining the winner could become tricky...

BATTLE REPORT

Italy: Battleship South of Greece
Germany: Battleship North Sea (I Think that was the sinking of the Bismarck! :p )

England: Cruiser North Sea

Units in Norway coast bombarded by sea, and German ships on coast in North sea bombarded by air.

"He who controls the Sea, controls the trade routes, and he who controls the trade routes controls the world" (the quote was something like that, in anycase...)

The English population has been movilized into the "Home Guard", to face any possible German invasion, but gradually they are getting bored and spend more time in other activities: :crazyeye:

Oh! Just to let everyone know now (in case Russia gets soundly whipped and is not even in the running!), that my vote can be bought! :D

RJ: Since I'm a fascist and I can't use my money for anything, I have a good stockpile of it. Let's you and me have a meeting and talk about this over some Smirnoff, eh?
