C3C PBEM -WWII-Game Thread (Tomorrow Belongs to Me)

The Nazi war machine was in full force. We have been tracking a large flotilla of English ships moving south along the Spanish coast and we have been moving forces close to engage them. This month of January saw many a young English sailor either burn in the wreckage of the sinking ships, or freeze in the frigid waters off of Spain's coast.

Battle Reports:
England:
These loses were off the Spanish coast vicinity the Swedish city of Lisboa
Lost 4 cruisers
Lost 1 destroyer
Lost 1 transport (what was in it I wonder?)
The other transport is lucky I was one unit short to sink that one also.
Bombed the southern coast of England

Spain:
Lost 1 tank
Lost 2 infantry
Lost 1 worker
Lost 1 rifleman
Lost the city of Gijan

Germany:
Lost 1 panzer

THIS IS ITALY'S BATTLE REPORT

England:
Lost 1 tank near Tobruq

Attached is the save for Thrust

BATTLE REPORT

Germany Lost:
2 Cruisers: English Channel
1 Destroyer: Cherbourg Port

I bombarded North Africa, and France.

----
Yes, I am losing the naval war. If I ad to start all over again i would have been much more careful with my convoys, but there are no second chances in war so i am just hoping our Russian friends can tip the balance... :crazyeye:

ARGH  I figured I would lose those two cruisers in the English channel but it was a risk I had to take. If they would have survived I would have been able to...I remain silent on the rest.

Nothing really for France.
How come I am at peace with Italy though ?

Edit : OK I read through the thread. I know why and how now.

All quiet on the Western Front, and the Eastern front for that matter.

Battle Reports:
Spain:
Lost 1 flak
Lost 6 riflemen
Lost 3 workers
Lost 1 infantry
Lost 1 conquistador
Lost 1 artillery
Lost the city of Vigo
Lost the city of Barcelona

England:
Bombed Southhampton

THIS IS ITALY'S BATTLE REPORT:

A quiet month for the Italians. We didn't do anything this turn except bomb one English ship near Tobruq.

I am too lazy to go back over the long discussion leading up to the decision, but how did we come up with the 10 turn rule for Russia/German peace? I thought we had aligned it with the historical beginning of Operation Barbarossa (June, 1941), but that falls on turn 15 (16?) rather than 10. This is what Dogboy and I agreed upon in private emails, but then it occurred to me that to have England stand alone for so long might be unbalancing.

What does everyone else think?

RJ: I think this is what happened. We agreed that June, 1941 would be the date that Russia would be allowed to attack Germany or Germany must declare war. We figured that would be turn 11, and that is what is in the rules. However, we now realize that June, 1941 is turn 15 or 16. When I spoke to you the other day via e-mail and you said June, 1941, I wasn't going to argue with you because that benefited me :) However, if we stick to what we agreed upon in the rules then you should be allowed to attack me on turn 11. I will be fine with that. Just going to have to reposition some troops that I wasn't prepared for but no worries.

I'm posting turn here for FRANCE because I had sent it directly to Pirke and now notice Lou Long is taking over. So here it is.

RE: Russia-Germany: How about?:
Germany must declare war and attack Russia on the turn of June 1941.
Russia CAN attack Germany before, as from turn 11.

?

The Germans are getting bored. The English won't land, the French are run out of Europe, the Dutch have been gone, Spain had no roads so it's hard to blitz there. Der Furher is afraid his panzers will rust, his bomber pilots will lose their "edge", the factory workers will get lazy. We need someone to fight! On the other hand, the Germans have been messing around with the specialists and have now learned how the civil engineer works. Until now, they have never really paid attention to their abilities but are finding them very useful. Reports have identified the Wehrmacht is becoming stronger than every before.

BATTLE REPORTS:
England:
Destroyed the granary in Southhampton and bomed a little of southern England.

Spain:
Lost 1 rifleman
Lost the city of Walladolin

Sweden:
Lost 1 infantry
Lost the city of Oporto

Germany:
Lost a bomber over Spain. The Furher wept in his underground bunker.
