Shrouded in secrecy, several Roman galleys have been sailing through the Balearic Islands, waiting until their scouts told them it would be safe to land on the Iberian coast. The word was given, and Ceasar tensly awaited any sign that the Carthaginians had spotted them. In 185BC, with no counterattacks forthcoming, he knew that the element of suprise had been achieved! He lead his armies, backed by heavy cavalry, and stormed the unsuspecting defenders of Nora. The elite spear fought bravely, wounding a cavalry, but died, and Augustus himself defeated the remaining Mercenary, securing the town as a new forward base!

His follow-on forces, more cavalry, legions, and catapults, were able to finish off two wounded war elephants recouperating on a nearby hill, and securing the services of a Carthaginian worker, glad for once not to see their homes burning! Meanwhile, legions and siege trains continue to approach the Carthaginian capital in North Africa.
In celebration, the joyous people of Rome have declared Ceasar Augustus the First Consul of the newly formed Roman Republic!
