C3C Scenario/Mod: Rising Sun

I bombard Pyoyang with a catupult takes 1 hp off spearman.
I attack with elite Minamoto Samuri killing it.
I attack with next Minamoto Samuri capturing Pyoyang
here's a screenshot

Pawel I think you should make it so cities retain culture after capture. It's annoying and unrealistic that a citys borders shrink after capture.

My forces advance to Seoul.
I capture that stray Korean worker.
The Zulu settle my Indonesian island! They will pay!
I give Romans Theology for Wines
Egypt makes an Embassy with me.
Egypt and Byzantines sign an alliance aginst Arabs. Egypt declares war on Arabs. Hey i'm missing out on the fun!
My Oto No Matku advace on Wonsan.
I reach the gates of Seoul.
Here's a screenshot of my forces
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Fall_of_Pyoyang.JPG
My Oto No Matkua attacks Wonsan killing the Spearman easily.
I decied to wait for my catapult and more reinforcements before attacking Seoul.
My Oto No Matkua attacks Wonsan killing the Crossbow becoming elite and destroyng the city.
I get 4 slaves.

My forces have all arrived at Seoul and are ready to attack

The Den of Spies builds a spy which I upgrade to Ninga
I start the attack with a bombardment resulting in 1 hp lost.
Minamoto Samuri attacks next killing it.
The city falls. The Holy Relic is destroyed.
Korea is still alive though. Damn settler in Siberia!
I sign peace.
My New empire in Manchuria and Korea.

Sounds exciting! I look forward to the screen shots! Once you get a good world map it would be interesting to see what the others are doing as well. Perhaps if you have contact with many, you could post a screen shot of some kind of list, or powergraph?

As to retaining culture on capture, I must say this is something I really favor very much and would like to have in this scenario as well. They reason I didn't include it, at least yet, is that this is not a purely combat scenario, and it would be too easy if you could win a cultural victory through conquest. So, with the retaining of culture on one hand, and having a cultural victory as one of the option on the other, so far I decided for the latter...

I took the liberty of posting a slightly smaller version of your latest screen shot as an attachment! I think it show the strategic situation very nicely! :) I look forward to seeing how things develop...

I move more forces to the border and land the Ninga on the hill next to Shanghi.
I wacth a Persian Eastern Bowmen passing by.
The French and Arabs sign an allaince against Egypt.
I move my Ninga sought of Shanghi and find the Chinese capital of Canton? huh? is it supposed to be like that or have the Chinese been warring?
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Capital.JPG

I build some Arquebusiars.
I found the city of Yokohama. I capture a Chinese worker with the Ninja. I upgrade my Junks to Carvels. I learn Astronmy and start Navagation. I find out Egypt already has Navagation and buy a map from them.

What's with these capitals Pawel?

I am very curious about the maps!

EDIT: I made some small adjustments to the Byzantines and Arabs following Mr Black's game to make the former a little weaker and the latter a little stronger. It will be very interesting to see how things turned out!

I also like the inventive use of the Ninja! Capturing workers without declaring war seems like a great strategy!

As to the Chinese capital, it actually is supposed to be like this... The reason is that I wanted the Forbidden Palace to be in Beijing (it is pre-placed), and then a city in the south had to be the capital for gameplay purposes. It is, however, not entirely wrong. Before 250 BC the Chu kingdom in the south was very important, and so was the later Song. Canton is a modern name, but the idea is that it represents the southern influences in China and Beijing the northern...

OK, now that you uploaded the screenshots I see what you mean. :) Well, I think that Philadelphia is not such a bad choice for a capital. At least it makes more sense than New York, and Washington DC is kind of new, even by American standards. ;)
The choice of Calcutta is more due to gameplay requirements. It was taken as a step to steer Indian expansion to the south east, and this seems to have worked rather well. Also, one may argue that Delhi was not the capital before India was conquered by the Arabs in the 8th century AD, and thus isn't an obvious choice in a game that starts in 200 BC...

I am happy the Arabs survived the confrontation with the Egyptians, though. After seeing your world map, I have the impression that although the the balancing changes I made as a consequence of Mr Black's game were minor, they were quite effective.

I trade gunpowder for horses with Russia. I can build Nakomoro Horsemen now. The Egypitans and Indians are more advancd than me. I am at parity with most people. The Americas are in the Early Middle Ages. The Byzantines seem to be causing problems for the Germas and the Arabs have been doing it to the Egyptians.
My military is equal to most people and in some cases stronger.

Carthage and Egypt singed an alliance aginst Arabs. I capture another Chinese worker. Where's the Chinese army?
Pawel when I trade for or capture a worker I have the option to upgrade it to an Asian Woker for 0 gold. Is that supposed to be there or is it a bug?
The Germans seem to have recaptured some former terriotory.
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Reconquista.JPG
My Ninja gets attacked by a Chinese Asian spearmen and
retreats.
Egypt and Korea sign alliance against Arabs. I build the Masolum of Mllous. I start Coprenious. I get a spy from Den of Spys and upgrade it. My Ninja gets killed by attacking spearman.
I drop one of my captured workers off in the Philliphines.
I wacth a Mongol Archer pass by.
The Egypitans have captured Mecca!
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Mecca.JPG
I drop off my other captured worker in Korea.
I build Oda Arquebusiars. A valcono erupts in French territory but sadly dose'nt do anything.
Hey! Carthage has colonies in the New World
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Carthage.JPG
I finally learn Navagtaion! I can buy maps now! I start banking.

Very interesting! I am glad you are doing so well!

I think I will speed up the time a little more in the next version, but only by a century of two... It seems almost right. :) The Americans expand quickly, but initially lag in technology. And the Indians always seem to be doing well...

I am also very curious about a complete world map showing all civs. So far I haven't seen any major territorial changes. I guess that will come. :D

As for the Worker, it upgrades to the Asian Worker and they cost the same, so this free upgrade is a feature and not a bug. :) I think it is kind of nice that you have the choice of either keeping the less efficient worker for free or to upgrade and pay upkeep... Besides, one can argue that it makes sense that wokers get assimilated just as people in the cities do. This upgrade also has the downside of preventing sacrifices that become possible once you invent Fascism of Communism. Still, I think it is a matter of opinion, and it is easy to change. Which would you prefer?

I upgrade some of the captured or traded worker's and keep other's. It dose'nt really matter to me eithe way.

Great! It is a pity that the Iroquois and the Americans have such similar colors, but it looks to me that all civs (except perhaps Korea) are still hanging in there! Perhaps soon the Arabs will become an African tribe, though. :)

I bankrupt myself by making embassies witheveryone except Maya beacuse I ran out of money. Korea is just a settler so thhey don't matter.
I tell a Mongol archer to get out or declare war. They leave. Why are they in Siberia anyway?
Well whats this catfight?
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Egyptians_attack_French_city.JPG
Den of Spies produces a spy which I upgrade to Ninga.
I move the Ninja from Korea to the border.

Ooohhh this should be intreasting...
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/War.JPG
Arabia and Korea sign a peace treaty. Korea forces me to renew the peace treaty. The Persians ask for the same thing Carthage and Egypt asked for I boot him out with Chemistry in exchange for some gold and gpt. Den of Spies produces a spy and I do the usual. Upgrade load into Carvel land.
Arabs ask for allaince vs French and Rop I refuse.
I finish researchin Music Theory and start Economics
Some French city has been burnt France is really losing it.
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/France_is_losing.JPG
Cartahge builds the Inquistion.
Gasp! and whats this? Looks like I'll have to wact out for the
Mongols now.
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Keshik.JPG
A Crusader is built. Load into Carvel land in Manchuria. I think I should have enough troops to attack China soon. It looks like a new power is on the rise in Africa though. If the Egyptains conquer the French they'll be huge! And Egypt is still at war with Arabia. Maybe I should back France and Arabia? Provide them with techs and resourses. Than there also is the new Mongol threat to consider. Russia and Germany may cause problems in the future. The Byzantines and Romans I can handle same with Scandnavia. The American civs are'nt much of a threat and neither is England. Carthage, France, Korea, Zuluand, can't even dream of it. Persia and India have potential.

Maybe it's good that the Carthagians got the Inquistion! Sounds like being Cleo's neighbor is risky business right now, even though right now they seem to be on the same side. :) Maybe you really should do something about it... But then maybe you need to concentrate on China? You will still have Persia as a buffer to Egypt. On the other hand, if the Mongol attack you from behind... Their Keshiks are really dangerous in this part of the world. Lots of interesting choices! I look forward to seeing how things develop!

Egyptian galley enters my territory. I contact Cleo and give her Salpetar for Gems, Ivory and 16 gold. Hey if they're going to be the next superpower I better suck up to them right? Beside it was an really good trade. We love the Shougun day is celebraed everywhere.
Also Medina has fallen! I feel partly responisible.
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Medina.JPG
I upgrade a Otomo Speramanto Arquebusair.
I take pity on the Incas and trade maps.
Korea has just commited sucide.
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Korean_Sucide.JPG
They have their freaking settler right next to a Mongol city and ther is a Keshik nearby. Stupid AI.
I trade Silks with Cleo for gold and gpt. I upgrade another spearman.
Oh! I get what Kore did now. Look they founded a city in Mongol territory. How stupid.
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Korean_Foolishness.JPG
Byzantines and Germany have singed a peace treaty.
Uh oh problem
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Problem.JPG
This will delay my attack.
The Koreans meet their end.
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/Koreas_Demise.JPG
I learn economics and start Metallugry. Rome build Tempal of Artemis.
I build Coprenicus Observotory. I start Smith Trading Company. A Spy and Crusader is produced. I upgrade spy and drop Crusader off. I'm seeing more advanced troops on the Mongol border this is worrying.
The Byzantines and Romans sign a peace treaty without any terroital changes. Well that was dissappointing.
The Mayans and Egyptains make a alliance against the Arabs and the Mayans declare war.
I renegoiate my peace traty with the Mongols to ensure there is no suprise attack.

Edit: My 2 other screensots are'nt uploading I'll do it later
