C3C Screenshots Thread

That Dromon attack certainly lessens the pain of no Cataphract! :) Does it sound cool?

FWOOOOOSH!

Stonesfan- I never did get around to researching iron working. I beelined for wonder techs. I think it's new, though. :)

Can you take a screenshot of that tech tree that you beelined through?

Might be quicker if someone else did. I'm having computer problems and I doubt I'll be able to get on 'til tomorrow. I can tell you this, though. I don't remember any optional techs in bronze age. I went for the irrigation/mining/wood cutting/stone working techs first, then starting going after wonders. I had to eventually research everything, though. Once I got in Iron Age, I got Cartography and then Navigation.

Oh, something odd. It took me forever to get the FP popup. I think its minimum must've been changed for that scenario. I think I had fifteen or twenty cities before I was able to build it! I wound up using it as a prebuild for the Great Lighthouse in Byblos.

If no one gets a picture of it before I can, I'll post. :)

sweeeeet :D

although, a cataphracvt UU would still be the better UU choiuce..

although, I now think a Godd MODERN Byzantine UU would be a cataphract with a flame thrower :)

and anceint cavalry- SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET :)

EDIT 2: I think Chieftess' admonition 5 posts down is aimed at this post and me, among others. So discussion based on the screenshots is apparently discouraged.

Colonel Kraken, cool job on posting the animations!

It's a silly request, and I have the game, but the new slave animations are pretty cool. They really get into laying those roads. It almost looks like they're shaking their booty to some music while doing it.

Overall the new unit animations seem much more dynamic than the old ones. The new unit sounds I've heard so far are also more intense than the other units, too. The Javelin thrower comes to mind, and that reminds me: in the animations the Javelin throwers javelins seem to fly one tile beyond the attacked unit giving the impression of a very fast and powerful javelin.

EDIT: I think that ancient cav animation is the pillage action. The attack is still cool, though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, in normal Civ3, and PTW, the pillage and attack are the same animations. Maybe not in C3C though.

Um, okay. Resized from 1024x768 to 800x600 with no sharpening (Note: ignore that stripe on the left; that's my graphics program that wraps the right few pixels back to the left; I haven't tried to figure out why it does that yet):

EDIT: About that stripe on the left, I just figured out why & when that happens to me. I'm using GIMP for Win32 1.2.4, and when I acquire from clipboard is when it wraps that stripe. But I doubt any of you use this, so don't worry about it.

Even though I hate naval UU's, I have to admit that the dromon attack is pretty cool.

could someone post some pic of the new land units!

OK, I've changed my request from the Mesopotamian tech tree to the Rise of Rome.

Anyone want to provide a screenshot of it? (assuming it is different).

Enslaved worker roading animation! See what I mean about his shaking his booty? The disco hit "Jungle Boogie" keeps playing in my head when these guys are busy:

EDIT: Oh yeah, Chieftess says no discussion in this thread, so just mutter quietly amongst yourselves for now. :D

EDIT 2: I didn't notice the leg irons until preparing these GIFs. I guess they blend in with the shadow in the game.

EDIT 3: Notice the details, especially the hair flopping. I love these little guys!

Here's the first part- I hope it's legible, as I had to shrink it in Paint in order to get it to avoid horizontal scroll.

could someone post a picture of the Civilization editor screen, of the Dutch. So i can see what are the Dutch cities and (scientific & military) leaders.

thank in advance :)

Please post more screenshots, I know a lot of us still don't have the game! We need more screenshots! How about medium tank combat animation?

Also, what worker action does siege craft allow?
