We are playing BTS, ROM 2.71 and have had some OOS problems. What seems odd about them is that it is always the same computer (or both my husband and mine when he plays) that go OOS. We are not hosting.
I am aware that Civ IV is set up as a client/client situation and that it has to do with something happening to the random seed, just perplexed as to why its always the same computer (or two computers on the same network at the same time). So I am asking if there is any possibility that I need to mess with my router? It is fairly new and I'm not that knowledgeable about setting it, so am open to ideas. It's a Dlink, Dl-604. I am reasonably sure I am playing in the DMZ and that I didn't do anything for my husband's computer when I set it up to play Civ IV.
We play Direct IP connections. This wasn't much of a problem before we changed to BTS 3.19 and ROM 2.71 (previously with BTS 3.17 and ROM 2.53 things worked great, but we do like some of the changes and want to make this work).
Thanks for any help!
