The clips showing the building of the various wonders run at breakneck speed, much too fast to appreciate the work that has gone into their design. A friend tried to run Civ4 on a machine that was under spec and the clips slowed rght down and were spectacular. Is there a way to slow them down?

I have a question...

Are you using a Duel Core CPU?

Because I have noticed this as well and I have a 3800+ X2

You can get a little application called Win Launcher XP which lets you setup executables to be launched with SMP(Symetric Multi Processors) set to 1, meaning it only uses 1 core.

I've had to use this little app to resolve numerous problems with other games that seem to be incompatible with the duel core CPU.

http://www.gameroffice.com/ <- get the launcher here.

Oh and to be specific when I use this launcher the movies play at normal speed.

Sorry, you lost me after 'I havea question'

I'm using a P4, 2.6 GHz, 1022 MB Ram and GeForce Fx 5500.

How do I find out if I ahve a 'Dual Core CPU'

I'm about to download the WinLauncher XP. Will it affect the running speed of any other programs

Thanks for the input

Are you crazy? Your game is running at a regular pace, and you want to slow it down?

Here's a solution: Give me your computer and you can have mine.

No, No, the game runs fine (until it reboots every few turns around 1900)

It's just the movies I want to slow, I've seen them on a very slow machine and you miss most of the detail when they run at normal speed
