Howdy, folks. Is there a way to increase the 22 Civ cap? I play on my own little modded Giant Earth map, but even with 22 Civs, much of the world remains vacant, forcing me to pick and choose.

Is there any way to increase this? I've browsed through this subforum and across the net, but I've yet to find a solid answer.

I have a i5-3450 @3.10ghz (processor), Nvidia GTX 570, and 8 gigs of RAM, so please don't respond to me saying "forget it, your comp can't handle it". I've played with 22 Civs, with many warmongerers that have huge armies, and even in late game my turns are very bearable.

And please, feel free to link me to another post that answers my question.

:)

Thanks for responding. Browsed through the thread. Couldn't really find the answer I was looking for, as they appear to be speaking modding language I don't understand.

Short answer is yes, but no.

Long answer? Yes, you can, but there are a few drawbacks to doing this such as disappearing leaderheads for leaders above the civ cap, and you have to jump through a whole bunch of hoops.

On top of that, you have to use a modded DLL. This means zero compatibility with anything else that mods the DLL.
