Rats, and rodents generally, can evolve fast (I bet that's not true). They discovered some long-haired mice living in a deep freeze, I believe.

article on hyperat said:
The rat had been terrorising villagers in Shaoyang before local farmers banded together to finally catch it, according to shanghaiist.com.

Workers eventually cornered 'ratzilla' and killed it with makeshift weapons, but broke two knives trying to carve its thick bones and skin.

If someone finds a rat the size of 10 ordinary rats, maybe their first thought should not be to use it as their food :/

How big would a properly-fed, non-diseased rat grow?

It probably will be sunk once it gets close enough to be dangerous and actually confirmed as what it is by somebody actually seeing it. At present all we've got is a Thing moving this way which might be a lost cruise ship which might be overrun with rats who might be inbred cannibals. So yes, great reporting.

(Why would a naturalist classify an animal that no one has ever seen?)

I once read an excellent trolling post where the troll claimed that there are x numbers of unknown species left. The others asked him why he said something like that, only to be replied that the scientists already know those remaining x species, but haven't yet learned how they are called.

:rotfl:

Oh. Has no one ever seen a microbe?

But that one's probably a made up one.

Here's a more authentic one:

That's another scheme from Pinky & Brain to conquer the world. First Britain, then the world!

One is a genius… the other one's insane!

Some say we are related to rodents. While I think that most of these post at Poly, it makes me wonder. ;) Could this ship be sent from the fount of evolution to provide us the next step forward?

You decide.

THAT is one honkin big ********** rat who I would have guessed would be a cow if it didn't look like a rat.

If this is what is sailing the ship towards England then I sure hope the Brits still rule the seas, for their sake.

Not really sure how the above looks anything like a cow, though :hmm: :D

It looks nothing like. Maybe close to the size and...I thought I heard a "moooo..."
