can't get ptw to run

really weird problem...i just installed ptw and i try to run the program and it just doesnt do anything. it does check if the cd is in b/c it gives an error when its not. when the cd is actually in it looks like its about to start but never actually does. any ideas?

I don't know any virtual CD drivers that I installed. I don't think that helped.

I took a burned (with CloneCD) copy of MY own PTW (I own it, I just don't like scratching up the original CD) and tried to use it. Two different copies don't work, but my original does. Why is this? I thought CloneCD copied everything about the CD?

CloneCD doesn't *necessarily* copy EVERYTHING about the CD. ANd the SafeDisc copy protection used by Atari has been getting better and better at preventing working copies.
