Hi,

Any ideas?

I can't uninstall Civ Complete...
When I go to Add/Remove programs it is not listed.
I've tried to delete the files manually but and thought I had but it still says it detects a previous install when I try to re-install the game.:(

Thanks!

p.s.
I tried to uninstall as the Civ Content scenarios got all messed up and would not work so I figured I'd just start from scratch again.

Well, normally you would uninstall software from the add/remove menu, but if it wasn't listed, then you can't. Did you try running the uninstaller that comes with the game in the start menu group?

The problem with deleting all the files manually is that even though the files are gone, the registry still has information of the game in it, and tells the computer that the game is still there. That means that you technically can't install Civ3 on that computer since it's already registered as being there (even though its not :crazyeye:). You can get around that though, if you've gotten rid of all of the files that had to do with Civ3 from your computer, you can use a 3rd party program to remove the registry entries of Civ3 and its files. I don't know of any programs by name, but there are some out there that you can use.

WinASO is good. In Demo mode it will remove only 10 entries at a time but you can run it as many times as you need.

This is the link to WinASO's (Advanced System Optimizer) Evaluation Download page. You want the Registry Optimizer.
