Captured Elephants?

AI loves to spend units on HN combat 5 elephants running around in their empire. one of my last deity games i happened to have a hunter capturing an elephant, it had like 20 units deathcount until some enemy hunter got it down.

I found elephants to be quite insanely powerful in the Creation Mapscript :) You can block off entire sections of the map since there are so many chokepoints.

Soldier: Sir!!! There is an elephant blocking the pass!!
General: Just walk around it then.
Soldier: We can't sir...he is to big.

I tend to use the sign feature to mark positions of spiders, bear dens and areas for giant roaming. I'll quite ofren have a "Valley of annoying elephants"

I have and to agree with Mesix on this one.

I would rather like to see that elephants can build a camp, like they could in Age of Ice, so if you don't have one or you don't have the bones etc you can hunt one :) I think even Spiders could be used as a ressource. Nice to improve your cities.
Would be also nice if you could capture some deer, that's what hunters are doing. Or cows, horses, pigs, sheeps, ...

Yes that would be interesting if the game started out with none of the cattle type resources, scout started out with the subdue animal promotion, you had to hunt for your resources, then settle them in appropriate places (with a max density enforced). Could liven up the early game! If scouts had the subdue animal promo from the start we'd also have a chance to grab some of the wild animals, curently they usually disappear before the tech for subdue animals is reached.
