We are starting to discuss when the "freeze period" will start. The freeze period is when no new code is written, no new buildings or anything are added only testing and immediate bugs fixed. Any bug that will take more than a day or two to fix will be held of until after the v37 release because it may show up more problems elsewhere.

I think we would like to get v37 out before Christmas.

Can we fix the non initiation of the Apostolic Palace, and UN etc elections? Apparently certain setting cause these elections to never take place. At a minimum let us know which setting cause this bug. I went through about a 100 hours on the slowest time setting, only to not have the elections happen.

Will Finland be included on it? I've come across some interesting national related things that could be included. For example, finns used crossbows for indirect fire, which in game terms could mean free Drill promotion for finnish crossbowmen. In Second World War, Finland was world champion in use of artillery (quality, NOT quantity). So free Barrage promotion for finnish Howitzer units.

We have not been able to prove any problem exists. It is possible that there were no valid things to vote on during that time. A lot depends on what victory settings you are running as well.

As a culture or a civ? Most civs that existed are available in the extended civilization pack from sparth in the modmod section. I'd be a little surprised if Finland isn't already included as a culture.
 
Did I see somewhere that combat animations were back? Are they working now?
 
Yes they are. Although I have had two unexpected crashes to desktop without any messages, logs or dumps.
Non-repeatable and without a minidump?

Strange, but the problematic crashes we were having from anims before were highly repeatable. So hopefully it has nothing to do with that. Random crashes that don't leave any ways to trace them are concerning though.
 
I've had those since playing CivIV. It's like a silent MAF. The game just closes out. Let me know if you continue to experience it though. Without a report or ability to replicate, it's going to be impossible to solve unless it's happening a lot - then playing under a debug dll for a long while might get it to go off with some indication as to why.
 
AFAIK the 3.19 Official Patch on this site is the same one on GamersH.

If you and your friend have even the slightest of differences in Options and game setup even for the vanilla BtS you will have problems in Pbem.

We have 2 Pbem games going from C2C and with 7 players we had to be very rigid in the set up. Of course these games started 4 yrs ago too.

Are there differences between patches of the same version #? Why are there differences?
AFAIK the 3.19 patch here was developed before a number of other 3.19 patchs from other sources. I don't KNOW if there are differences but I'm pretty sure there are some 3.19 version patches out there that do differ. This mod was begun (or rather the mods it is built on were begun) on a 3.19 patch from this forum before others proliferated.
 
So if patch from Gamer's Hell crash his game, then patch from CivFanatics will too?

The 3.19 Patch listed on Gamer's Hell has the same released date and file size as the 3.19 patch here on CFC. Until your Friend tries both and does not get a crash we can not say one way or the other. And to be very honest with you it sounds like it's problem on your friend's end. We can not "fix" how players set up their own computer games. We can suggest proven methods and Proven patches. But it is up to you to do the research and make the effort to overcome this problem.

If I load a map in the Worldbuilder that was created/saved under an older SVN, will it update its properties/whatever to my current installed SVN? Or are those saved maps not usable?

Depends on how old the map is. There are a few ways to update with notepad apparently if there are incompatibilities. I just recently fixed a problem in the code that was denying even recent maps from loading.
 
Our inept government's attempts to over-expand are making us unhappy
What does that mean? Why does it appear? How can I get it down from 12 unhappiness?

In addition crime has occasionally suddenly gone up to around 200. What is the cause?

It means you are playing with City Limits by Civics. You might have to change civics to get it down, if you cannot combat unhappiness otherwise.
