Caveman 2 Cosmos

Oh also,Thunderbrd I would reaaly aprreciate if you would lead me where I can fix the siege weapon(ram issue) myself so I would not have to download SVN version which is taking alot of changes(I'm afraid of the bugs etc.)
The last global define in GlobalDefines.xml in the xml folder. Set it to -15 perhaps?

Spoiler :
Try something like -10 or -15 if you can find it. I'm in the middle of a big project here but later I can try to find it and address it for the SVN. When it was at -25 they weren't generating enough siege so I suspect somewhere in the middle would be right.

It's at -15 right now and it's not enough obviously. If I put -20 it will decrease the amount of ram ? What exactly *not enugh* means ? Because I am on the verge of putting it to -25 =)

Update : I'v put it to -25 for thee time being, gonna test it out.

You've got it right. However, I've had it at -25 and found it wasn't building enough siege (rams). I suppose now that rams were made more effective it might not be as necessary to build as many as I'd figured they should.

How much does the autoplay resemble the AI? I've found that the autoplay does not seem to be aware of the total gold amount in my empire. It often sacrificed half a city's population when millions of gold in the bank. That was in a v35 game.

In my recent game, I decided to autoplay an anarchy period. When I came back, I found that it rearranged all my guards across my nation (with defense buildup instead of crimefight) so my capital was in the thousands with crime. I think it might be related to the revolutions in capital issue Soulmate is having.(I had revolutions off).

Point 1) The AI does suck at fully working with its gold and will sacrifice without giving alternative considerations. Slaving does need some attention soon. The AI also doesn't have any concept of the trick of having some cities build gold to keep the empire afloat if running in the negative at 0%. How to prioritize this for them will be an art of science. (difficult)

Point 2) The guards were probably considered the default AI since you'd built them and the game thus did not know your purpose in doing so. When the AI builds them, they'd often do so for the purpose of crime control and they should be quite good at it but that remains to be seen for sure... they might not be as good as they once were with some recent simplifications to that code for streamlining.

Suggests a modification to the auto play to get the purpose from any build-up you have set a unit to.

Should I recalculate manualy after xml change ? Because closest AI to me(which production I can see) never stoped ram manufacturing madness. Or maybe it's because he had it in the queue before the change ?

Also, this particular guy surprised me with even more madness :
Spoiler :

The most interesting part about that not even the fact that he let's his empire suffer from crime while he makes one city -14k, but that this stack exceeds my 50 units per tile limit that I set up at the start of the game.

I think I may know what the bug is on that TW issue... I'll add it to the checklist of things to address here. Should be pretty easily fixed.

Are you using many of the Leader Traits Options? And if so which ones?

Also the city with all the TW could be the city that AI is using to generate Gold from all the Crime producing Buildings. And the city he builds All his TW from like so many "players" that Specialize their cities. This is a cumulative effect of several Options and game AI processes that have been developed over the years ever since the Property system was introduced.

My settings are :
- Developing leaders
- Focused traits
- Start without positive traits(which doesn't work for me)

I saw this stack being moved out of the city, but never stationed in any other city or any TW being spared to other cities aswell.

Focused Traits was never meant to be used with Developing Leaders or Positive traits.

Dev Leaders as was Positive traits (iirc) was T-brd's additions to the Main Leader traits that Sgt Slick made. Sgt Slick's LTs had much "discussions" over their effectiveness and "strangeness" (for want of a better word).

Focused traits was made by ls612 to be an alternative to Sgt Slick's traits set.

i have a few questions when it comes to resources and what exactly they represent. their are three main ones that trip me up. clay, is this just clay in general or kaolin clay used it porcelain? something else? stone, once again is it stone in general or a particular type like granite or something? manganese, is this a land or water resource?

Clay is just clay. Fine Clay is all the better quality clay needed for finer quality goods. Fine Clay is what is represented by the map resource with normal clay is a manufactured resource found wherever fresh water is found.

Stone, the map resource, is generic or all types of stone. Obsidian (map) is also stone but represents all the stony war materials where as Marble (map) is also stone but represents all the stony luxury materials. On top of that you get some manufactured stony material like Flint.

These are partly inherited from BtS which only has Stone and Marble to represent all stony materials and partly left over from when we had a limit on the number of resources we could have in a mod.

Manganese was intended to be a water resource.

Welp, I did not know any of that, thank you for clarifications. Now I understand why my no traits setting doesn't work.
Which other known effects this may cause ? And Could I disable it from the WB without risk of game-breaking bugs ?

There are 3 ways/paths/categories to use the Leader Traits Options.
1. Don't use any of them and you will be "close" to regular BtS LTs
2. Use Focused Only.
3. Those I have not listed (all remaining LT Options) can be used in any combination you choose.

#3's combinations will give you a wide wide range of extremely "Poor" Leaders to very "Gifted" Leaders. The Best Leader(s) to use (many +'s) out of these Options is Hammurabi followed by Julius Caesar. The worst to use (Too Many -'s) are:Charlemagne, Joao, Qin Shi Huang, and Victoria.

Other known effects? Still discovering because the Sgt Slick Traits were never fully tested because we have So Many Leaders available and trying to test each Leader took too long.

As to disabling thru WB I can't give an answer to that, as my knowledge there is limited.
