Caveman 2 Cosmos

New tag (Terrain Yield changes) was added, that ABSOLUTELY needs recalc if you update to latest SVN!
Unlike myth rework or tech commerce percents it goes bit deeper into code, so you will get random bullcrap value from land instead of intended value.
This screws up subsequent stuff like gold, research and other stuff as you have arbitrary amount of commerce yield in cities.

This is why we have game asking about recalculating variables (ctrl+shift+T), when you update SVN.

That is @arihant @Volgadar and @everyone else this is why you must let it recalc stuff.

Nerfed commerce modifiers from regular buildings -- raxo2222
Strong nerf of commerce from buildings: Instead of city wide bonus commerce modifiers now we are using flat bonus commerce changes, as they affect building only -- raxo2222

You did this on every building?? And for every Difficulty setting? And if Yes, Why?

I saw this question comin'. Am a bit dubious myself on this choice but I'm too out of touch at the moment to take any stance.

Handicap settings are untouched.

I did it on regular buildings - wonders and special kept their values.
All of those had one thing in common: To reduce excess gold (300% gold from bonuses was insane)
Do you remember when over 800 buildings obsoleted without replacement?
Now only 20 or so do.
This means MOST of yields and commerces are preserved trough time instead being sent to oblivion with obsoletions.

I have been out of action for the past 3 weeks as I displaced both hips (lifting 6 maple logs (4 1/2' to 3 1/2' long and 15 to 24 inches in circumference) for chainsaw milling by hand, :p ). Chiropractor is getting me back into place and shape. So I have not been able to sit for any length of time at the computer for testing these changes.

@raxo2222,
I could understand the reduction on buildings after Industrial Era to end of game. Most of them were OP in this regardsd. But I am not so sure about the Preh thru Ren Eras.

Guess I need to start a new game or 2 when I can sit for several hours.

I feel your pain, I have a bulged disk in my lumbar plus narrowing of the spine causing pinched nerves.

The older you get, the more often that check engine light comes on. I'm starting to know the feeling now and then. I've been running very low on energy and the boss has been demanding more and more of what little precious concentration I have left. To keep the physical up a bit we go hiking on many weekends, which of course also is another source of exhaustion in the short term. And yeah, pinched nerves are starting to be the result of simply sleeping these days.

Are you taking any B complex vitamin supplement? Once you hit 50 and above your body does not store the B complex like it did when you were a kid or young adult. Also Potassium and zinc should be part of your regimen. Usually every other day is a good start. And if you are not getting any sunshine during the week (working indooors), then vitamins D3 and K2 are vital.

Almost all regular buildings don't obsolete without replacement now.
That is don't obsolete, or if obsolete, then its very likely that have replacement.
Regular criminal and punk buildings are ones, that obsolete without replacement, there may be few more categories.
This means if Prehistoric building had 10% to gold and 5% to gold from bonuses, then their replacements also would have those values (or higher if replacing other stuff with such boost).

Also now players are more likely to build all those little buildings - commerce incomes now won't rise as rapidly, and its now more of steady stream

I do get some Bs from the Mio drinks and take a once a day and it does help when I remember. I get LOTs of sunshine despite working indoors - it never rains here, I hike a lot, and the home has wide windows. Mostly the problem is working 10+ hr days. Making more and more really but not only longer, but doing more in the time I spend as well and it gets intellectually exhausting.

I'm trying to build the O'Neil cylinder. I'm at a loss as to what I'm missing to be able to make it. I also can't enact the effect: cislunar economy. What am I missing? I'm almost to the end of the Transhuman era.

Bring asteroid to Earth - you need to send solar worker to asteroid surface and capture asteroid.
On SVN you could simply build that required building for cislunar economy

I don't get it. I sent an asteroid to one of my cities on Earth. It gave me the option to "build a captured asteroid." Now what? How do I build the O'Neil cylinder?

To build oneil cylinder you need cislunar economy, that needed captured asteroid.
Did you move captured asteroid to one of earthly cities?

I'm so frustrated. I can't figure out how to create cislunar economy either. Yes. I moved the captured asteroid to one of my Earth cities. It gave me the option to build a captured asteroid (which I did). This is nuts. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I'm nearly to the end of the transhuman era.

You also need an Asteroid Mine. Either build it in the city where you sent the asteroid, or send a heavy rocket to the Space Station, get the Space Station Level 3 Reward, send it to the city and build the Asteroid Mine.

Edit: Another thing you can try is this: Go to the Civilopedia (within the game!), search for the Cislunar Economy, and look which requirements you are missing.

I have a bunch of asteroid mines. All of of my space stations are level 3. As for cislunar economy…I have everything I need. Civilopedia says I need lunar trade. I got that long ago. I have all of the requirements met. As far as I can tell I attained everything I need to build the O’Neil cylinder. I’ve had all of the requirements met for a long time. Shoot! As far as I can tell I probably made cislunar economy a long time ago. I don’t think that’s the issue. The issue is I don’t know what mechanics are involved to build the friggin cylinder.
Anyone else have any ideas?

I’m so frustrated. I’m not even sure whether or not I have “effect- cislunar economy.” But I know that I got Lunar Trade a loooonnnngggggg time ago. I have met all of the requirements for building both the O’Neil cylinder and cislunar economy. As I’ve stated a bunch of times: I’m far into the Transhumance era. The concepts being discussed here are from the nanotech lifestyle era. I’ve discovered all of the technologies a long time ago. I’ve built many every kind of colony many times over. I’ve built all of the buildings possible in all of my cities and space colonies. What am I missing?!?!? Argh!!!

I’m stuck because so many of the things I’m trying to build now require that the O’Neil cylinder be built.

1. Read this guide to space stuff: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/a-guide-to-space-and-the-future.620584/
If you read pedia you would know what you are missing.
You NEED to use some units to get certain buildings in Lunar and Earthly cities to build Cislunar Economy wonder - its needed for O'Neil cylinder.

2. Alternatively you can update to latest SVN: https://github.com/caveman2cosmos/Caveman2Cosmos/wiki/Using-SVN
There you won't need units to get space buildings.
For example supply ships are removed, and instead you can build their buildings for cheap on Moon.
Asteroid buildings needed for stuff also are directly buildable - no need to use space units to get space missions and plop buildings.
Lunar settler still needs Lunar Base improvement or its upgrade to build city on Moon though.
