Caveman 2 Cosmos

Thank you for your answers. It does make sense to have this as part of the game setup. I just wish I was aware of this when setting up the game. I am too far in to start over now.

Not sure how fun it will be to kill tigers and hawks with tanks later in the game. But that's on me for not paying enough attention when setting up my game.

You can change Animals Stay Out! in the Worldbuilder - save first, but I did this ages ago since animals are now irrelevant, and everything _seems_ fine.

In practice autohunt kills the tigers and hawks and you just listen to a bit of noise and add the subdued beasties to your cultural heritage.

Another question. Is this thread used to report bug, issues or - as in this case - lacking documentation in the Pedia?
No.

Exactly where the line is between "bug" and "is it really meant to ..." and "I guess this is by design but it has funny consequence XYZ" may sometimes be a mystery. :-)

So one more thing that has puzzled me is this: When viewing tooltip for buildings (in this case library) it will say that this building will give you +5 science for instance. But then underneath that it will say that you only get 2.72 science.

What is this sorcery?

Started a new game and on the second turn I lost my beaker
Ug would be sad but Ug not know what "researcher" is. Or what "know" is. Ug wish you would beeline language of some kind.

I think every game of C2C I've played has gone Nomadism>Gathering>Language. Maybe there's a better way but that seemed decent to me.

Sorry for not noticing this the first time, but you can change game options in the world builder, fist icon.

It directly depends on having or not access to a Natural Wonder. If not, Language is subpar and can wait a while. If yes, Language is a first choice must.
That's also talking Eternity, obviously. On Ultrafast... the entire question is a joke, lol.
Oh, and I always play ONLY those two speeds, lol.

Good day, everyone. I've a few questions.

1. There was a loading screen tip saying something about turning your overseas cities into colonies. I had time to read only half of it before the game loaded . Where can i find all these tips to read ?

2. Starting technologies - where can i find which nation has which techs in C2C ?

3. I got Aryobarzin (Great General). Can i find his biography in game ? Where ?

2. C2C works differently. (Unless it's just me ALWAYS playing "Developing Leaders", lol.) All civs are now generic (differ only in culture and leader traits, if you choose to start with those).
1/3. Text files are somewhere, but definitely not in the GAME. You could look through the XML files, but I don't know (or care) more specifically.
