Caveman 2 Cosmos

Its not a bug its part of the hunting update, hunting is more rewarding, but is also harder. Even harder changes are coming.
I'll probably go back to version 43 then. This is hopeless already with animals and thieves as it is. This is not supposed to be for elite players only. It looks like the casual player may as well not bother with C2C anymore.

MWAHAHAHA!!!
But I actually kinda agree with both - and yet still (ab)use it happily for now, lol.
 
There's no dealing with the animals right now though. What are you supposed to do when 5 or 6 Bengal tigers and 4-5 hearst eagles spawn right on your border 30 turns into the game. Take 1 step out of your city and you die. I have lost 12+ units to the same Bengal tiger with this version. 1-2 is ok, they are strong, but 12+. That is just too much, especially since some of them were well upgraded chaser and even master chasers.
 
That is not normal you should not have 6 bengal tigers on your borders.... they are sparced out so im not sure how true your claim is unless you send me some proof and then we can look into it. Experienced advanced hunters with good lvls can deal with anything. The idea is not that the game is for elites... calm down please.

It's too late now for that save. I went into the world builder and dropped 2 big game hunters in my city and used them. They have killed at least 3 hearst eagles and 2 Bengal tigers within 2 tiles of my city borders.

I'm also wondering where the barbs and neaderthals are too. I have only seen a couple of them around and no cities even though I them enabled.

Other than the animals, everything else looks good so far.
 
You can turn ON that option that makes animals eat each other, lol. Then you'll have ONE tiger... with 15 effective STR, mwahahaha.
And as of Barbs... probably got EATEN as well, lol.

Play on Settler dificulty

Certain animals need to be nerfed a LOT. There are WAY too many tigers, big packs of lynx, and big packs of bears among others that strength 6 units with all animal upgrades can not touch. I may just revert back to 43. These animals are too much even with better rewards.
Activate the Option that allows the Barbs, Neanders, Predators, and on down the line to prey on each other. This reduces the easy animals but does create some strengthened Barbs & Neander units. No Peace among NPCs is the Option also Use the reckless and /or Dangerous animal option too.

Our newest Modder has changed much in the way of rewards from all animals and reduced many early bldgs outputs. Plus there are new Events that can reduce a cities Pop in the early game as well.

Don't be afraid of V44 instead adjust your Game set up Options and Bug Options accordingly.

Change Your Game Set Up Options Stop playing the quick/recommended set up version - Play now. It's not a Good recommendation at all. Needs to be removed IMO!

Is this normal with fight or flight on. 1400 exp seems excessive.
 
That scout is up to nearly 1600 xp now and still getting attacked many times each turn. I just do not think a unit is supposed to get that much xp at all, much less a little more than halfway through the prehistoric era.

its normal.my hunters usually get thousands of exp in pre era

You're assuming chasers should be able to take on bengal tigers and haasts eagles? Yeeeeah that might be the problem right there. An unarmed guy that runs to scare animals until they exhaust themselves so he can take them out with a rock or something is not what I'd think should be able to take out a tiger. Tigers are kinda hard to hide from too. Some games you're supposed to have to put hunting aside for a bit until you get access to spears that you can merge and go hunting for the bigger stuff (send some good spotters though or you'll end up even feeding those kinds of forces to those that now have a taste for human meat.)
