CBP and (3UC) 3rd Unique Component compatibility mod

Austrian empire is not the same as the Hapsburg empire or the holy roman empire. The Austrian empire was formed after they got their asses handled to them by napoleon and lasted for 60 years.

That's a silly argument. That's like saying England only applies to England pre-Act of Union, even though it has a Ship of the Line as a UU. Plus, Austria's leader is Maria Theresa, a Hapsburg (the ruling family of the Austrian Empire, mind you, until the 20th century). Nomenclature is a silly means of distinguishing between successive empires, especially when the same dynasty remains in power.

I'm just saying that the name "Austrian empire" is pretty silly. Since there exists an actual Austrian empire, which was pathetic and existed for 60 years.

Anyways what time-period would you pick things from when it comes to the Austrian civ? Start with Hapsburg or start with the HRE?

I'd start with Hapsburgs.

Hey, I haven't been keeping up with the status of this project ever since Dnorak said he was working on it. I've had a number of people ask about a CBP-compatible version, and if the project is stalled then I could probably do some work on it. I don't think it would be very difficult to adapt a working version-- just need to identify where the incompatibility problems are and determine which UCs to add.

Did this get abandoned or is someone working really hard on it secretly behind the scenes? :D

Well if anybody is interested I've been working on a mod secretly for about 6 months, that incorporates aspects of 3UC and 4UC, ethnic units (Corrected! and Tested!), a couple of JFD's civs and incorporated a number of features of some of his civs and cleaned up many errors in his LUA code. Each civ's unique ability is overhauled and each civ has much more culture diversity with up to 5 or 6 Unique Components. For example this is Ramesses II's trait: Receive a free Pharaoh when you discover The Wheel. +25% [ICON_PRODUCTION] Production towards Wonder construction with a garrisoned Pharaoh in your city. Gain [ICON_RESEARCH] Science for each unit killed that has not been researched.

The Pharaoh is a Powerful Chariot archer that is replacement for the Great General (it is a combat general) and upgrades immediately at Chivalry, Military Science, etc., the same as the Horseman line all the way up to Modern Armor in which it becomes the M1A1 Abrams Tank.

Sounds interesting, if it is compatible with CPP I guess I'd try it out.

All of CP, C4D, ML, CSD is integrated, and most of CBP (especially for the compatability parts for CSD and C4D) is integrated accept for some Policy stuff and most of what he's done with the Civs. I also update it when he releases a new CP/CBP. I've made it into just one big mod. No parts as it were, except for the EUI.

On my computer, haven't gone public with it yet (except with a few close friends), as I ought to seek out the permissions from various folks who were authors of various parts even though I have edited and corrected much of their work. Give me a week or so and I'll make a big post on here.

Calling it Civilization Reloaded Community Patch Edition.

If you integrated some Community Balance Patch you will need the Community permissions, don't know how you will do this.

Yes, I'll need to talk to Gazebo (and whoever else) before I go public with it.

Don't know if it is your first mod but just a small advice from an old modder : ask for permissions before beginning a mod, above all if it's a six months work :)

Well, the thing was it all started as a multiplayer mod thing among my close friends (not internet friends). Was never planning on going public with it...but it turned out to be quite a piece of work that I should go public and share it out. Not only that, I've already done what people here are merely contemplating and wishing, so it would save lots of time for others.

Troll huh? So a guy comes to contribute something to a post and offer his talents to the community and this is the pleasantries I receive. Thanks I appreciate it. Suit yourself I guess. Here are the pics of my monitor that I took just now with my cell phone so you know it is real:

Well it's nothing official yet, I have a whole host of people to track down and ask and thank, etc. Any support to see this materialize will be much appreciated.

Seems really interesting! Hope that you can finally obtain all the permissions and make it public, I'm eager to try, and thanks in advance in case you can/want finally share it.
