Some of you may have noticed that wonders now have a resource requirement.
This was included from a BNW expansion, the same for the new improvement bridge.

So all wonders requires Manpower, this is intended because to avoid wonder spamming ether by human or ai.
Since iam going to release a XXl Version some day, this is needed.
Also it force the ai to build the Manpower related support buildings, this buildings will get a flavor update, so that the ai build them when going for wonders and running out of Manpower.

The ammount of Manpower needer for a wonder is determined by the era.
Starting with ancient one Manpower requirement, each next era get plus one.

Buildings that support Manpower.
*Granary (the complete update serie, for all types following)
*Monopoly Buildings
*Military Buildings like Garrison
*Science Buildings like Libery
*Production like Workshop
*Market, Harbour at least all infrastructure buildings.

Any ideas about that, or critic?

I'd have to see it working to give much of an opinion, it sounds like a great idea, though - that wonders can't be supported by underdeveloped cities. I like it much more than an arbitrary limit on the number of wonders per city.

Spoiler :
ok another idea, while digging game files, i fond the resource manpower (MP).
I think this would fit well for a wonder limit in the erly eras.
*Wonder antic* 1 MP
*Wonder classic* 2 MP
*Wonder Medievel* 3MP
*Wonder Renessance* 4MP

Any thought, btw the MP will generated by infrastructe buildings, that are already included into CCTP.

I bumbed this because i will finish up this system, let me say with the beginning of the modern this resource will be out.
But unitil this era it will manage each wonder, so i like to add a few more and with the permission of the owner on big future support.
Anyway no one has recommend any wonder or building here, so its on my own to add or to stopp, if no one tell me otheres.

Okay, got it. Wow, it is really a briliiant way to put the breaks on the game. I mean, YALL NEED to be hired by Sid!

<no longer valid stuff>
I am wondering about one thing: why is manpower tied to workers?

Is that to avoid the "hundreds of workers issue"?

I can see your point on the AI Wonder race especially when egypt is on the table.

*add* and Missionaries?

<removed..wrong place>

More or less is Manpower also used to avoid spamming units (worker) in the early game. Also i thought i could be a good way to inlude this units in the Manpower line.

Totally works. Really adjusts the beginning game to be less about getting th prime wonders and getting the basic science done first. There is a point where the early game starts to pick up. The damn AI needs some work..like really, get your luxuries built as it kills the trading part of the game.

I am still in the BC era..thoroughly enjoying it. Set at emperor, starting to take the lead over the AI

hehe, I am a good game tester!

Nice idea but I noticed while playing the AI has no clue how this manpower thing works at all. As he doesn't seem to use it. Everytime I go in diplomancy screen he has the same amount of manpower for trading. I never noticed any AI player building any World wonder and I haven't seen any workers in their territory.

Actually that is quite realistic: now i'm buying all manpower and castrate opponent's wonder-building.

And the city states keep giving you manpower! I'm around turn 200 and have 46 manpower.

So this encourages the patronage tree.

But, I think this could be an unbalance point when playing the AI. Which makes me think that you cannot program the AI, just the environment the AI is embedded in?

In my playthrough version 4.02 with 2 new files. AI has different manpower, even 0 and asking for it, they also have workers and settlers. some has like 30 cities and all tiles worked (except water).

Manpower is just a think, and a restriction....

Every Wonder willcost you a Manpower, but each settlemet, each necessary building , creates manpower , while its a logical historic trem......

Hey there ! Forgive me for troubling you but I have a problem about this manpower thing, that is to say the exact same thing that was reported onthis topic : even though I keep buildings that should increase my manpower, i get no bonus at all. Is this a known bug in the 4.04 version or is there a way to fix it ? =(

make sure these three lines are listed under <OnModActivated> in Community Call To Power V.4.04 modinfo file
<UpdateDatabase>CCTP/Manpower/CCTP_Manpower_RQR.xml</UpdateDatabase> <UpdateDatabase>CCTP/Manpower/CCTP_Manpower_RQ.xml</UpdateDatabase> <UpdateDatabase>CCTP/Manpower/CCTP_Manpower_Units.xml</UpdateDatabase>

I think the RQR.xml is the only one originally listed

ok :O I'll try that, I'm not sure of how to do it but I see what you mean =)
Thanks again for the help !

edit : I got a CTD, Runtime error when trying to launch my savegame :( I tried to launch it via the mod loader but it didn't work. On the other hand, I've suppressed all the cache files and the entire moduserdata file. You think it might be related to that and that I must delete only very precise files ? :O )

yep I did that, Bu like i said above, I had a CTD when trying to load my game. I think I might have deleted an important ile don't you think ?

Well yeah, I'm abble to start a new game,I just can't load my old savegame again :( I guess I'll just have to start over again then. But thank you for your help anyway ;)
