I don't think there are any civs that are Communist right now, but I'll check. I think the Carthaginians are Facists and so are most of the other Industrial Age civs.

On topic: I think the real problem with your last Civil War was the overpowered UU you gave yourself, not so much as the difficulty. I see where you're going with the ideas but it appears brennus is a strong, successful, and rich king....

Perhaps, given your recent dealings with foreigners, you could go with a xenophobic general or some such that splits the state in two?

Well even in America there is a small but relatively strong communist party and for years before world war 2 there was a fascist faction and even after the war there was a bunch of neo-nazi groups... Maybe during the civil war Sparthage can try to form a fascist government due to paranoia of the Red Revolution that took place. That's what Hitler did, except Hitler manufactured a great deal of the threat so that he could capitalize on it to form his Nazi dream world, which turned out to be such a nightmare for so many people. Also sparthage I was talking about the commies in one of the factions during the civil war.

I can see possibly a three way civil war, with the current regime, a xenophobic fascist general, and a seccessionist (sp?) foreign national backlash, but in the current regime, the workers all seem happy and the economy is prospering, nowhere close to the us before the second world war.

If the people are happy and doing well, I can see no reason to change other than ideological/prejudicial reasons.

Welcome to CFC and Celtic Fury!

It's always nice to see people post that kind of message. A good indicator for me of a good story is how many first posts it drew. Just look at the classics of Pax Romana, WW1 in 2051 AD, Conquest of the World, etc. Thanks for the high praise.

In terms of when the next update will come: it will probably be later this week as I am about 75% done with the writing, though I'm trying to throw some first person stories in there to make things more interesting.
