This thread is for the development of six civilizations I shall be releasing over the course of the year as part of a new project, Celtic Nations Plus. Originally I was simply planning to make and release Cornwall, but I've decided to expand on that and turn it into the start of a small series of Celtic civs. The project will possibly even expand past the six main Celtic Nations to other civs (possibly Galicia, for example).

I will continue to update this thread with information on concepts for each civilization (as of this today only Cornwall is under development). Any feedback and ideas are much appreciated.

Personally I'd suggest Godred Crovan for Mann and Llwelyn the Great for Wales. Llwelyn managed to take effective control of all of Wales during his long reign, and is regarded as one of the most capable rulers of his country, and Crovan is one of the better known rulers of the Kingdom of the Isles.

These would be my picks:
Brittany - Nominoe, Anne of Brittany
Ireland - Brian Boru
Scotland - Robert the Bruce, Mary Stuart
Mann - Godred Crovan, Illiam Dhone
Wales - Llywelyn

Cheers for the suggestions Hiram. Have you got any plans to recreate any of your Celtic civs from Civ V? I enjoyed those, especially Wales!

By the way, who is the character in your avatar?

Corineus, based off this: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bf/Corineus_the_Giant_in_Guildhall_1859.png

If you went with Anne for leader of Brittany, Gedemo had quite a good leader screen for her for his Brittany mod in Civ V. Obviously this screen would not fit the Civ VI art style, but the leader model might fit.
Spoiler Anne de Bretagne :

He had what appeared to be the same 3D model in his loading screen but in a different pose, and at a different angle. I suppose this could be because he made the model himself, but that seems unlikely considering that most of his leader-screens were made up of resources from around the internet. So that model is likely availible somewhere and could be used for a leader-screen.

Can't wait for this one, it would be nice to see a mix of modern and ancient leaders for this.
Maybe David Lloyd George? As in, the republic of Ireland?
It would be nice for an alternate Leader for Ireland. Maybe for Peacefull victory/Modern Unique Unit leader or something like that. He seems the type to play the diplomatic game.

Eech, my bad, good lord what an embarrassing fumble... That'll teach me to skim over wikipedia articles...

Probably... I trust Antagonise will do a better job than me at picking figureheads, haha...

Additional leader suggestions:
Wales: Owain Glyndwr
Scotland: William Wallace, James VI and I
Cornwall: Michael An Gof
Ireland: Malachy II
