There are only three pages

The starting page
How to win an argument (which is just sarcastic stupidity)
And Red Stranger (With the statement "Red Stranger is a conservative idiot" yeah real mature guys)

Edit: I noticed a few more, but the contents still suck

Moderator Action: And everyone realizes that all these insults and such being made in there are being tracked and written down for the slew of warnings that will be going out for them, right?

So we're not allowed to do something that is independent of CFC. Kind of stupid, isn't it? IF this site was run by the CFC administration, I could see this being fair, but this is an independent site, so we have our freedom of speech. :)

CFC has the right to give warnings (etc...) to user accounts hosted by CFC don't you think ?
Anyway, if a wiki is viable, the better is to not have a spammed wiki. Note that most wikis are moderated by the way... I just feel a little sorry for the growing amount of content the moderators have to moderate, so in a way I guess they might as well not support the initiative or avoind giving it too much publicity ;)

Our user accounts here are different from our user accounts there, though. I mean, I could have called myself MamboJoel there if I wanted to, as long as I got there first.

What we really need is a way to keep track of the user account pages (like User:Eran of Arcadia) versus the regular articles that are about users.

Well, mods have access to IP adresses here and on wiki.

Yeah, we really need that.

Yep, but they can moderate yours here, and it's normal.
Afterall such a wiki is related to CFC, so beeing banned from the latter...

Sure, but they have no authority there. Not that I am going to do anything bannable there, but it's the principle.

Yeah, we really need that.

Any ideas?

No, but what we do there impacts how this site is percieved, as such they can moderate us.

Let's call articles about posters "member pages" and the User:username article as the "user page". Anyone (Who doesn't flame) can edit "member page", but the userpage is yours alone.

I have a User Account at CFC and several other Civ sites which know about the moderators. I can say something about another user there, and what gives the moderators the reason to warn me about something I said at another place? Last time I checked, the CFC administration is in charge of this forum and this forum only, they shouldn't be able to control what I say at another website.

(all hypothetical of course. ;) )

Okay, so the "member page" is about us here on the OT, whereas "userpage" is for who we are there? That works, I guess.
Basicly. Userpage is mostly just for coordination purposes.
