CFC Random Elimination

I know that there are many different types of elimination games out there but this is a new one! Everyone who signs-up in the poll above will be randomly assigned a number which will not be shared with the player. However you the voters will not be aware of who is assigned to which number. Approximately every 24 hours you can choose a number to eliminate. Whichever number is the highest will be declared dead, and their identity revealed to the public. In case of a tie, I will use the RNG gods again to decide who dies. After each round the numbers will be reorganized until only 1 player remains. I will insert my name in the game (unless there is a lot of objections), but I will not vote to keep my bias of knowing who is which number in eliminating certain players.
Voting Rules:
Alive players may vote twice, either for different people or the same, your choice.
Dead players and lurkers can only vote once.

To decide who you want to vote for you may use a RNG online, I personally will use www.random.org

I had to use a RNG for something and the idea just popped into my head. Not sure if it will be popular though as most people aren't in to the whole random idea.

If you visit and decide not to join please tell me why so I can try and make this game better!

Well, one possible variation would be not to reveal numbers via Private Message at all.

So, let's say that the game starts. People are told to pick a number from 1 to 14, say. Everyone picks their number then the host decides to end the round by posting everyone's number publically. As soon as the host posts everyone's numbers, the voting will have officially closed.

That way, you won't have any clue as to whom you are killing off. Even more hilariously, you might encourage a whole ton of players to accidentally kill yourself off!

Each round, players will be assigned a new number, so for round two, everyone would pick a number from 1 to 13, but the previous number assignments would have no bearing on the new round's number selections.

You would also save on the need for a lot of sending around of Private Messages and you would completely eliminate the ability to cheat by sharing your number with someone else.


EDIT: You would probably also want to have a rule that discounted any vote where the message was edited after the host posted the numbers, just to discourage that kind of after-the-fact vote-changing.


Technically, the host would not need to assign numbers until after the voting was done, to avoid the host voting for a number that wasn't his own or his friend's number, but then there would still be the uncertainty of the host potentially "rerolling" if he didn't like what he saw. Thus, I would ask that the host withdraw his name from the competition.

I am sorry if I wasn't clear enough in the opening post, but no one, except me, will be aware of who is which number. I will not PM them to anyone, and I will not vote myself to avoid bias. I will reveal only who has been killed off each round, not everyone either to avoid the cheating aspect as well. Finally, as numbers are reassigned, it will remain random the entire time. So Abaddon, no one will be able to PM eachother their numbers, as they won't know it themselves.
