It was OK this time but I'm afraid it was map trial day on the server. As it turns out the maps weren't very balanced and had a couple bugs. All in all though I still had fun.
 
i am a bit dissapointed by the whole custom map thingy. anyway i got one domination pic, and that's it. :(

Yeah I joined in for the first time and the maps were rather crazy....:crazyeye:

My personal favorite was the one where practically the whole red team was up in the sky! :p

That's why I like alpha and beta maps, you get to see some cool glitches and bugs (and possibly some annoying ones) and appreciate finished maps (especially if we keep testing it such as norad and swift) even more.

Mine was around 120 which yours seemed to be as well. Yes its playable however at one point we were switching servers so that both continents could enjoy playing fine with the slightly higher pings. Its just those incidents as a medic where you are ubered up and then a second later you find out you were headshot just before you clicked.
 
I guess It's a good thing that I migrated to a desktop. I'd figure I'd get a lousy ping on a wireless network.

On a laptop, using wireless internet, I have been consistently getting excellent ping. Most of the TF2 days I end up having the best overall latency on the server...:p

Yes it is however it makes it a lot harder for certain classes like soldiers where rockets rely more and more on luck and there were a few times as a pyro where I ran past the enemy before I was aware of them. The other issue with that server was the maps as the defending team never lost.

Soldier is ok with 250 ping, in my experience. Scout, Sniper and Spy are most in need of low pings.
