bwah, what happens to me then, as medic, is that the heavy does nothing, while the scout is trying to kill me, and yeah, a medic vs a good scout, well... it get's exciting but if you first were buzy with the medigun, the medic is at an disadvantage

Well, when I see a medic-heavy pair, I try to fulfill the scout role of harassing the medic, killing him or making him pop his UBER prematurely. But with Natasha, suddenly, the scout can't fulfill its role unless the heavy is severely lacking in skills or experience. But it's not scout specific, I mean, Natasha pretty much stops anyone from moving. Suddenly, the heavy can really do damage from a distance because the person can barely move away. It's just.. eeeeh. I mean, I'm not blaming people who use it, it's in the game... Whatever.
 
They havn't been instant spawn since sometime last year. The red team also has a several second delay in spawning. I don't see anything I can call clusterfracks, it is called Team Fortress not Two-Sided Duels. The main server seems to have little micspam and none of the mods. While TooManyCustomizations is of coruse modified but it doesn't overdo it (unless the admins decide to hold a goofy event).

Well I might have dropped in for a spell if I had known there was a game on, but I prefer more standard servers when it comes to regular play honestly.

It would be nice to have an empty or low pop server sometimes yes, but I can't stand the excessively long respawn times on regular servers.

Same. What's the point of a 20 second respawn time? Seriously!

I think something like a ... minimum of 5-10 seconds respawn time is almost necessary on certain maps (specific payload and one-sided capture-the-point maps). It's still possible to win for the attacking team with no respawn time but usually when that happens on some of these maps it's because the teams were voluntarily or accidentally stacked.

Which is why we have had a longer spawn delay for the defending team for many months now n the CnB servs.
 
If I remember correctly, the spawn times are related to how well the team is doing. So if your team is getting beaten badly as red on any of the payload maps or straight line cp maps (eg dustbowl), you can have a 25 second respawn at worst as a reward to blu. Most of the time, it's 10-15 seconds on those maps.
 
It's a handicap.
Worst your team does, faster they'll respawn. The Better they do, the longer they'll respawn. Now ofcourse this doesn't work all the time, but that's because VALVE's known to have horsehockey coding. Take example, 50 foot backstabs and me somehow being headshotted from a mile away behind a . .. .. .. .ing barrel.

Backstabbed from 50 feet away is not as frustrating as a plain facestab where you basically see the spy uncloak and stab you right in the face and that somehow registers as backstab.

As for dying when under cover, um, maybe it's due to slight lag or I dunno what. I find I die so often when I am trying to get behind a corner, I think I made it, but somehow I get killed way past the corner by Heavy machine gun fire or even sniper shots. It's like "Hey I've been out of the line of sight forever now, what the hell".

I could've sworn that the worse your team does, the slower you respawn, and the better they do, the faster they respawn.

Yeah I believe that's what happens actually. Like the way you get more crits when you've already been killing more people and doing damage. It's a reward system more than a handicap system. It's to fight boring stalemates.
 
People do run away after they kill you, so they don't give away their exact position.

Also hitboxes lag behind the actuall model, so you do get some odd things but it works better than having it exactly synched. Snipers only need to see a few pixels of your head to get a headshot sometimes.

How to avoid face stab - Don't backpeddle infront of a spy.

EDIT: 2 shots then go through a slow reload, however, you can sort of rocket jump with it and it knocks people back. Hell, this may be fun. Except 2 shots is rarely enough to kill anything except the weakest classes. I hope it does a bit more damage.
 
Apparently at the bottom of the page you can vote which unlockable to get first. I voted for the energy drink, but it looks like it's gonna be the last unlockable right now. :(

However, It looks like it can pack a walloup.
