CFC User's Mod: Unit requests, previews and more!

Here's a list of all the UU's we still need, NOTE: everyone with 2 UU's still needed haven't expressed much interest in the mod :( so I dunno if they're still interested in bieng a part of it.

I was the one with the norman knight, check out my nation in the Library, it has the stats there. Thanks to kulade for finding the graphics, sorry I didn't (never even thought about that :p).

Anyway, since there's been some confusion about the berzerkir unit I have, I might go for this unit below. A advanced, synthetic exo-skeleton infantry. This is if I get finished with the Lycon Cataphract and Legion early enough to have time to make and animate this guy before this mod comes out/is too far along, and would require too much work.

The drawing was a sketch I did in about... 10, 15 mins (?). He also has a gun, which would probably be included in the animations.

BTW: The compression lost some quality, but it's still TWICE as large as the telsa tank below... Even though it's a black and white drawing. Freakin' background, wish I could get rid of the paper background. Oh well...

school started, which explains my abscence, but I still have a great deal of intrest, this is gonna be cool, man!

Anywho, I think I gave enough info for my UUs, but I'll give anyone any help they need on their construction of them

A preview of the Lycon Run (as you can see, I love previews :p; makes sure I don't do anything outragiously stupid and have to go back and completely re-render EVERYTHING), still rough, but I'll 'perfect' it later. I'm dying to start on the attack; I wanna see that wolf cut someone up good :D.

Anyway, here's the preview:

EDIT: Now that I notice it, the torso should turn a bit... A little more "bounce" too. Then it should look better.

Ok, last previews I'm going to give of this unit (unless I change something drastically). Also, last animations I'm going to do tonight.

Both the AttackA and AttackB, and animated in only 1 hour :D... This is going much faster than last time. The AttackB still looks a bit quick, but you shoulda seen it before I slowed it down; he was freakin' superman... Eh, er... Superwolf (kinda looks like it too, with that cape ;) )...

Ill probably end up changing the 2nd one because
1) I would think that the Plutonians would be a pain in the arse to model
2) I cant model
3) Plutonians only make a very small amount of sense in a Mooninite civilization

Edit: Forget the Plutonians. Im a paratrooper replacement
 
The Plutonians really don't have anything to do with the Mooninites. In fact, they're somewhat antagonistic... they only teamed up once, and the Mooninites ended up getting pissed off and firing their mega-laser beam thingy...

I realise that.. that is why I said Plutonians dont really make much sense in a Mooninite civilization. I think I must have been asleep when I posted the original set of UUs. Although in my civilopedias the mooninites, under slightly more competent and aggresive leadership, subjugated the Plutonians due mostly to Plutonian stupidity. And, looking back on that episode, I realise now that I completely screwed up the Mooninite Assault Squad's attack...seems I need to watch that episode more often :lol: I originally intended this civ just to be a ATHF alien civ but couldnt think of any decent name so I just called it the Mooninite Empire and decided that they subjugated the Plutonians.

at any rate, Ill probably make a Mooninite ship unit anyway but Id have no idea how to use it in-game. :hmm:

I have already found a graphic for my second UU, the "SSH/TSLA Soldier" unit. And I have found a graphic for the "XML-1 tankette" unit, so it's not needed any more UU's to my nation. ;)

:lol: I start in ~two weeks too! :D I think it's cause most people here are americans :(

Anyway, first post updated a bit, and the Dease SHT will be released tonight:D (no more of this - :spear: ).

ALSO, I've gotten two positive responses from moderators regarding being units :D (they said they'll think waht the wanna be) the other two still haven't responded.

EDIT: @ A viking yeti - those attacks look great! but he looks like he's skipping in the run :crazyeye:

If you also notice it also looks like he's cutting his foot with his sword when running. I think it would be better if the sword moved in a stabbing action (like in Age of Empires).
 
@a viking yeti - attached is a side view of one of kinboats units, it helps me alot when I make humanoid units run :)

My only unit - The Duelist.
Armed with a large dueling pistol and rapier. (I think there's a unit already.) Very high attack power, the Great Hattery spawns it every 12 turns.
I think there's a duelist out there, or maybe I'll find the man-at-arms...

THAT IS MY ONLY UNIT! I AM NOT A CIV.
Just clarifying that... :lol:

Been in school for three days, seems like I miss a lot here...
Hopefully keyboarding class will fix that... :rolleyes:

TO Dease: Thanks for the pic, that should help. I think the problem's I'm not using enough keyframes to make it move properly (it just goes from one positon to another, and in between the legs move funny). And thanks for the comment, the first trying was messed up (looked like he was attacking himself!).

TO Husky: Yeah, I was thinking about that. I might just redo the entire run animation.
 
Hey, If you guys want, you can add my Death Machine mecha as an epic unit, except call it the Takayama RFV (robot fighting vehicle). Just give it slightly weaker attack and defense than the Modern armor, 1 less movement, and the same cost, but make it so you don't have to pay upkeep for it, or if that's too unbalanced, just have it ignore movement cost for all terrain (except swamps and volcanos). I'll post a link to the preview thread later, after I make an update there (I've finally got the Attack A animation finished).

Oh, make it available with robotics, and require either aluminum and oil or Iron and oil to build
