Good work rcoutme :goodjob: !!! Do you have the point totals backwards?
I wonder what the mg near Rabaul means also  :scan: .

Point totals should always be higher after the turn, you kill units and take cities...

Turn 7
The Japanese High Command is starting to see more timidity in its leaders. They are thinking that the practice of designated seppuku :suicide: may be in order, but will reserve that particular idea for another month. Meanwhile on the combat fronts:

America: the SS Bluefish sank a destroyer and then was sunk by the DD Hamakaze.

Dutch: Bandjermasin was stormed by SNLF marines and occupied by victorious Japanese forces. The 4th Tank Division killed of that infantry unit hiding up in the hills of Borneo and got promoted to elite status. :goodjob: The citizens of Donggala were dropped by one by aerial bombing. Finally, Ketapang got its monthly pounding.

Commonwealth: The citizens of Singapore came out in force to shoot down some Japanese bombers. Unfortunately for them, some 100,000 or so died in the process, but they did destroy one air wing. Mandalay lost its Civil Defense to superior Japanese artillery attacks. The newly-commissioned SNLF-2 marines attacked and captured Espirtu Santu getting promoted to veteran status. :goodjob:

China: Chinese interceptors shot down one of the bomber wings near Chunking, not to fear, we had others that cut the silks so that the Chinese would no longer have their drawers. Nanning was pounded with artillery and then attacked by Nipponese infantry. China killed one division, Japan killed one infantry division.

Victory points (before/after turn) Japan: 24,490/25665 Allies: 5,070/5,265

Well…the attack on Hawaii did not kick off…Honolulu was defended by >1 machine gunner! Since I only had 3 marines, I sent the force south to Samoa. I have a medium tank army, but have not put it into play since my units need time to heal and the tank army would not have done well on its own.

I am now starting work on the Pentagon and disbanded my carrier fleet (while scattering some of the destroyers). With luck, the American carriers will spend lots of time looking for 5 carriers that are not there. I am building up more marines for a major push on the remaining Dutch possessions. I will have a healed medium tank army and Nipponese infantry army next turn. I expect to use these to take something of interest.

I have marines positioned in very strategic spots in Indonesia, so the Dutch had better be defending the rest of their cities (btw, Bandjermasin was undefended). I have placed airbases on most of the major islands and have begun reinforcing those islands.

Now I have to see what the allies have coming for surprises…

Since I am a participant in a 50k one, I checked. This is a 40k objective.

lurker's comment: OT - i once saw a nature special where a turtle was hunting snails across a forest floor. this game has a similar level of tension. :p

ps - not a criticism! i think this is a great idea and eagerly check everyday, hopeful for an update.

IT LIVES!!

The great and noble Japanese cause of unifying Eastern Asia has continued, but this time with one notable snag.

First the damages:
-CA Katori sinks CA Canberra
-DD Tanikaze attacked 3 American destroyers on its way to Seppuku
-Nipponese infantry destroyed the Commonwealth marines who had taken the airstrip near Manokwari
Marketplace of Lanchow was destroyed.
-Barracks of Nanning was destroyed (which was not nice since we later took the city and could have used the facilities)
-BB Kongo sinks CA Adelaide
-CA Mikuma sinks CA Leander
-SNLF Marines capture Banjoewangi :D
-Nanning’s defenders were destroyed at the loss of one Nipponese Infantry :D
-Mandalay lost 2 population during bombing and the units were redlined. General Provokura then used a new technique known as the Banzai charge. This was less than effective as 4 Nipponese Infantry units were wiped out trying to take the city. The 12th Army was then called in to attack, killing the machinegun unit. One more Banzai charge failed to destroy the lone defender of Mandalay.

Victory Points: Japan 27895; Allies 6580

The fact that the airstrip near Manokwari was taken by Commonwealth marines means that my opponents have marines. There is a large force of Commonwealth units (many of them conscripts) that have left Singapore and are threatening Kuala Lumpur. I have more defenders than they have attackers, so I hope to hold that city. The loss of so many troops at Mandalay was a disappointment, but unless he can reinforce really well, I should take the city next turn as the 12 Army is medium tanks (one of which was promoted in the one attack I got—had to traverse marsh before getting an attack). My Light Tank Army is healing and should be full next turn. I will have to see what the situation is on the Malaysian peninsula…I may be able to use both tank armies to wipe out Singapore.

The Royal Navy has gotten bolder…to its own demise. Meanwhile, the Commonwealth dropped a light tank on Sumatra, so I reinforced Palembang with enough units (total of 4) to prevent its fall. I will get a machinegunner there next turn (rushed) so it should hold for a longer period. Meanwhile…ships showed up at Truk (I think…otherwise Kwajalein) from the Royal Navy. I hit them with artillery for minimal damage. I am hoping that he has not got a large invasion force, but either way…the island is irrelevant to my plans. I am one turn away from Samoa with 4 destroyers with 4 marines so I hope to capture that city next turn also. :mischief:

@Classical Hero--all information that the Apolyton guys are entitled to is posted on their website (shown in another post above).
