Hello all,

I'm lazy and just want to have a little fun, does anyone have any good cheat codes for this game?

I looked on the web and I found a way to have unlimited gold but the file it asks me to edit (script.slc) doesn't exist on my computer. Anyone know why? Is there any other way to have unlimited gold?

the Leemur cheat doesnt work.

If you want to cheat, here's what you do:

1) Start a game on chieftan.

Really, its that easy to cheat!

well i dont recommend cheats to anyone but there are "Trainers" or "Bots" you can get. goto www.gamewinners.com. look up civilization 3 and goto the bottom of the cheat page to download bots.

But it really takes the fun out of the game. Believe me, I'd know

If you just bought the game, like I did, you most likely have the Game of the Year edition, v1.29f - none of this stuff works. The script file you refer to is in the civilization/text folder, but don't bother. It won't work. I've been trying to use those trainers, to no avail as well. So I'm just doing the game the way it was made (hey - how 'bout that!) and its still a TON of fun. Especially when I nuke the FRENCH!!

if you want a litte fun, thn download a good scenario, maybe a WW1 one, and that hopefully will be fun

You could always make a scenario in the editor (in the Civ3 directory). You can ask in Creation & Customization for help. Also, the latest patch is 1.29f.

wheres the fun in cheating. If you have PTW you can play a game on debug, then you can see all the AI´s moves.

Yup, the only way to cheat seems to be messing around with the editor. Such things like waste/corruption rate set to zero will very likely end up as big advantage for the human player.
You could also use one or another exploit. But then you probably already know how things work in the game.
Anyway, I recommend to "cheat" by spying on the war academy and on the succession games board.

Debug mode is only for PTW. Also, you could use the editor to make the AI even harder, too.
