Checked my order at EB and its "processing"

yeah i checked my order in the evening and now its says processing [dance]

that means that they receive MY civ3 and that i got a chance of receive it on the 30 [dance] ohh i cant wait 4 days only 4days ahhh i became crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure that's what Processing means? That they have your box on hand already?
I'm not clear what exactly the Oct 30 Release Date means. If that's the day Firaxis ships to the Computer Store Warehouses, then the warehouses have to ship to their distribution outlets, I might have to wait a week or more for my copy to reach the shelves.
This is very important, since I need to know when to book my week of vacation! Anybody know how that works for sure?

release date is when store put it out on the shelves. Civ3 is or will be at the store soon and they will have it for sell on the 30th. But for all pre-orders you have to wait till the 30th and then the number of days it takes to be mailed to your house. Have fun waiting those evtra few days lol-i will have mine on the 30th exactly I pre-ordered mine from the local store and will have it as soon as they get it

Me too, but "as soon as they get it" is going to be Oct 31 or Nov 1 at the local EB games outlet, at least according to their salespeople.

Since I had originally chosen "standard shipping", it said that I would get civ3 between nov 5-9. That is not acceptable, I am not about to wait until the 5 or even the 9th, while you folks are playing the game already! So I changed my order to 2-day shipping. Now, it should arrive on nov 2nd! COOL!

EBGames does distinguish between "waiting for product" and "processing". I don't know if we're reading too much into the change though. Another thing EBGames has done in the past (but I haven't seen any indication they're necessarily doing it this time) is to ship their pre-orders for highly anticipated games directly from the source, in exactly the same way their stores get it shipped. This avoids the extra two-three day wait of having to get it repackaged at an EB facility. They did this with Diablo II and the Diablo II expansion. I even got the expansion a day before it was generally available in most EB stores. It's certainly possible that EB pre-orders might get the game Monday or Tuesday in this case, but I wouldn't say it was certain yet. I guess we can all wait for the e-mail indicating it has shipped (although that didn't actually happen for DII and the expansion, due to the direct shipping method).

Just for the polling, my preorder of the LE has also changed to "processing".

Doh, I ordered on Amazon and it estimates my package will arrive on Friday the 2nd, but at what time, I allready took next friday off from work. What if it arrives at 4pm I want mine now Maybe I should have spent the extra bucks to get Next day shipping. Doh!!
