CONFEDERACY OF INDEPENDENT SYSTEMS
Short Hand: The Confederacy, Separatists
Capital: Raxus Secundus (de jure), Atlanta (de facto)
Research Bonus: Mobility (Even if we're stuck on this forceforsaken rock, our once mastery of the stars means at least we can deal with the interference better than the natives of this planet)

History:
The Confederacy of Independent Systems was originally formed in 24 BBY, as a response to the growing decadence of the Galactic Republic. Humans and aliens of the Outer Rim were infuriated by the growing bureaucracy of the Republic, which favored the wealthy Inner Core over the rest of the galaxy. A former Jedi Master by the name of Count Dooku lit the edges of the galaxy aflame with firery condemnations against the corruption of the Republic, and dreams of a better society where all of the galaxy were truly equal. The Count quickly became the leading figurehead of a secession movement in the galaxy, coalescing both populist rage and the backing of corporatist interests who wished to see the end of the Republic for their own personal business opportunities.
Unbeknownst to all but a few, the former Jedi was actually in league with the sitting Chancellor, Palpatine, as Darth Tyranus and Sidious, respectfully. The Confederacy was never meant to win; merely bloody the Republic enough so that the two could enact meaningful reform and bring true justice to the galaxy (including the destruction of the reactionary Jedi Order which impeded progress). That is why Dooku was willing to surrond himself with questionable figures; it was all an elaborate ruse to bring out the worst of the galactic corporate underbelly so they could be taken out as traitors, while Dooku himself was pardoned. It was a masterful plan that should had worked.
However, one day while engaged in a campaign against the clone armies of the Republic, Dooku had a vision from the force. He forsaw that his master, Darth Sidious, planned on betraying him for Anakin Skywalker, a young Jedi Knight whom he saw as more malleable and controllable than the old Jedi Master. The vision was completely unmistakable; if he continued his current path, he was going to die at Anakin's blade in an elaborate trap. This simply could not do.
Meditating on this vision, along with talking with his second in command, General Grevious, Dooku begun formulating a plan in order to overthrow his master and make sure the Confederacy
actually wins the war. The source of the vision, he felt, was extragalactical in nature. It was a message from beyond even the Unknown Systems, alarming him to a whole new galaxy. He could feel the presense of humans and other strange species he never encountered on this planet, which reminded him of his home in Serenno.
When Sidious told Dooku to kill his apprentence,
Asajj Ventress, over fears of Dooku planning on overthrowing him, he knew this was the point of no return. He wasn't going to betray Asajj; he was going to end the charade once and for all. Dooku ignited his lightsaber, ready to fight Sidious. His master was surprised, but no less willing to duel his apprentice in turn. However, it became clear that Dooku was no match for Sidious, and he became worn out by the duel. With no other option left, Dooku called on the vision of the force he had.
A resounding wave of energy flowed out of Dooku, spreading a shockwave that visited every system. When all said was done, Dooku, along with those that he trusted in his vision of a better Confederacy, along with an impressive cache of battle droids, found themselves transported onto the planet of his visions. With no spacecraft (and planet interference which prevented from going to space), they were now stuck on this rock. But, they were free from Sidious, free from the Trade Federation and the corrupt Council, all there was was Dooku and the very people he was fighting for the entire time. This brave new world is where Dooku would make his stand, and create a new Confederacy.
Of course, the natives (who were mostly humans) of the local area were particularly interested in the idea of the Confederacy. Their "wizards", as what Dooku persumed their force-using cult called themselves, said they had a Confederacy that they formed a few hundred years ago against a corrupt Republic, and while they ultimately lost, they were interested in reforming said Confederacy. At first, Dooku was amused, but it quickly evaporated to disgust when he found out the particulars of their Confederacy. After hearing it was nothing but an excuse to enslave non-white humans, he decided the world was better off without them, and he culled the "wizards" to the last. No room for their xenophobic ilk when his best friend and his apprentice were both aliens.
Heroes:
Count Dooku
A former Jedi Master turned Sith Lord turned non-affiliated Force user, Count Dooku is a complex man with a complex background. What is known about the man for Serenno is that his flirtation with the Dark Side was to try to build a better galaxy, but his eventual confrontation of the Sith Lord made him grew disillussioned with the Sith's interpetation of the force. Will he return to the ways of the Jedi? Will he try to find his own meaning to the force? No one knows, but for now, his main priority is setting up the Confederacy he truely wishes to see

General Grievous
Originally known as Qymaen jai Sheelal, General Grievous is a cybernetic Kaleesh from the planet Kalee. He was a friend to Dooku and the military genius of the Separatist Army, leading stunning victories in his campaign in the Inner Rim. When Dooku confided with Sidious's planned betrayal, Grevious pledged his support to the Count, given the bond the two shared on the battlefield. Even on this new planet, he remains the leader of the armed forces of the Confederacy, to no one's surprise.

Asajj Ventress
Count Dooku's apprentance; the death of her Jedi Master brought emotional pain to her and turned the once cheerful and pleasant
Dathomirian into a ruthless and vindicative killer fully seduced by the Dark Side. Dooku saw great potential in her, and adopted her as his apprentice, where he has honed her to become quite the assassin. With the arrival on the new planet, perhaps she can find peace in her pain, and try to find a sense of normality on this planet.

Jango Fett
Of all the people Dooku expected to see on the new planet, Jango had to be near the bottom of the list. Dooku saw the Mandalorian's head
head clean chopped off. Yet here he is, completely alive and normal. To make things even more disturbing to Dooku, Jango knew of his untimely demise, but yet, with the Force's mysterious power, he was granted new life in this new Confederacy. Dooku's respect for the bounty hunter must have manifested for his revivial on this planet; given most of the people Dooku actually wanted in his Confederacy also came with him. Jango, for his part, accepted his new fate, and pledged his services for the reborn Confederacy.

Reflet "Reffy" Ju
However, even the miraculous return of Jango Fett wasn't the weidest person to follow him to the new planet. No, it was this
Jedi. A full blown, light sided Jedi! Talking to this woman, it became clear that
she came from some sort of alternative timeline where she was a Jedi Padawan who defected to the Confederacy and served in battle against the Republic, which she shared the same exact sort of outrage against as Dooku did. The existence of a Light Side Jedi, who came to the same conclusions he did without falling into the embrace of the Dark shook Dooku to his very core. Reflet is more than willing to support the Confederacy as she did in her past life, but Dooku is completely unsure what to think of her
