I made a thread about Spinal Tap recently, Christopher Guest's first comedy documentary. I've heard he's made others. Yesterday I got to see another one he's made, specifically Best in Show. It was absolutely hilarious. (It even starred the same actor who played David St. Hubbins in Spinal Tap, only this time he played a gay hairdresser who ran a dog in the dog show.)

Who else has seen other Christopher Guest movies, besides Spinal Tap? I know he's made Best in Show and A Mighty Wind, but he also did one more, the title I forget.

I'm becoming a fan of his. I should rent some of his other movies. Any other fans here?

best in show was okay, it was co-written by Eugene Levy so it has its moments.

the announcer was the best pat of the movie

He's very funny, lately he's lowered himself to do stupid films like "Bringing Down the House". He did do "A Mighty Wind" though, another Guest movie.

Yep -- I thought the material was more accessible than "Best In Show..." Maybe not quite as good as Spinal Tap, but Tap's in a class of it's own.
