Here is the the assignment...Get pictures of babaloyn by our boarders..make a good story....

Well there is a way to make a real newspaper looking newspaper on a forum: Design a newspaper theme in programs such as Photoshop, Fireworks or CorelDraw etc. add all articles with pictures and stuff, save it as an image file, upload it and add the picture to the post. This way has its minuses, like: long loading time (depends on the size of course)

Ok..I decided I am going to make a separt webpage for the newspaper...

What shall we call this newspaper...

Here is an example of the heading or title...

I can change the color..Just request one then I will think about it..Plus what shall our background color be??

IMHO, My peference would be blue lettering with black background, or a dark silver/dark blue mix. Of course, it doesn't really go well with the civ, but it'll look cool

Also, I'll be willing to monitor the elections and write a column over the races.

St. Octaviansburg, Audiac -- This past week has seen a ferocity in the fighting and war-mongering of barbarians near one of our towns that has not been witnessed since the Ooliga brashfully attacked Duex Rivieres. Settlers have taken up residense in the town of St. Octaviansburg while the military has tried, with little avail to deal with the barbarian problem. While the citizens of St. Octaviansburg have faith in their leaders' ability to relocate the barbarian menace, the moving of more troops into the region has local residents disconcerted. All, however, are doing what they can to facilitate the settlers heading west for the coast; everything from housing to the feeding of troops has been taken on with a greater rigor.

Further adding to the anxiety is the sighting of a Babylonian warrior division within St. Octaviansburg's city limits. While the warriors have shown no inclination of being hostile, and actually appear to be acting in good faith to help remove the barbarian menace, rumors of a Babylonian military buildup near the town of Mûre have citizens concerned that the Babylonians may in fact be using the barbarian uprising as a cover to strike. However, experts say that the warrior division poses no serious threat to the town of St. Octaviansburg, and despite having no serious qualms about the ability of the barbarians or the Babylonians to launch a serious attack on St. Octaviansburg, the divergence of our military to deal with the matter has leaders closely monitoring the situation.

IMHO, I'll make a story over the nominations then once the elections are over (after the due date) write another one of the winners, and the elections themselves. Sound ok?

I got the photos...but none of them work..you need to send them a different way of some kind...Sen only the Important photos to my PM on this site please...Just the important ones becuase I dont have enough space in my PM for a lot of Photos...

We have 4 -5 days to get this newspaper up..I don't know if we can make it but we will have to try...FAST...

You know, back when I ran FNN (Fanatican News Network), I'd have 3 stories after every turnchat, if not just a summary of the turnchat. Sometimes, it would be forum news, like about the infamous PI6. I'd also try to make it humorous, and add roleplay elements in it. (That's what got Peri interested in the demogame).

If I were writing an FNN news piece now, here would be my stories:


Nominations and Elections (VERY important for CFC main page advertising).

The latest CCs (although, if I were doing this every other day, or week, legal stuff would be boring by now).

Meeting of the Egyptians and Greeks.

Possobly some role play event that a governor or mayor is sponsering.

The latest discussions and polls.

At the end, I'd have where you can sign up, a link to the demogame ruleset, and a link to the next turnchat info.

@Sarevok - yes, I'd even tell about that, too. That would go in the elections, along with new members.

BTW, I'll write up a sample piece...
