Something like that happened to me too, but I had Hinduism, and it started after I installed the patch v1.09

I took a look at the save from that game and I'll post a screen shot if someone will tell me how. This is probably the same thing that happened to Pegasus_wings. I took a look at the religion advisor screen and it said there were no Holy Cities for either Hinduism or Judaism which were both founded in my city of New York. I fixed it in the map editor and now it's fine. I also switched to another religion for which I had the Holy City, Christianity and I saw the few cities that had it so I'm guessing for me it was a glitch to do with New York, I had all the Holy Cities but one, yet any religion founded in New York had no Holy City.

I'm reserving judgment until I see starting conditions. While I generally favor religion, it depends a bit on the leader and the map. The highest-scoring game I've played had me founding no religion at all (and only adopting a state religion for about 6 turns before switching to Free Religion).

I would like to announce that I have been nominated for the position of Minister of Culture. This could prove to be very beneficial to our cause! This will grant me control of missionaries and some control over cultural buildings. I would like to ask fellow members of the NRO to support me in the upcoming race. Having said this, I would also like to note that another member of the NRO will be running. The highly capable swissempire would also make a good minister, and I wish him good luck in the race. Either way its a win/win situation for the cause, and don't forget to vote!
