City display on Main Map

Hi,

I have a problem with my city displays on my main map. They do not sho the city name, population number or icons. All there is is the long oval shape, with a circle at either end (the icon for what the city is building show correctly in the right hand circle but in the middle there are just funny blue bars and a black box in the left hand circle (where the population number should be).

Is this a bug, is there anything I can do about it?

I could probably manage to take a screen shot of it if need be.
