Questions concerning the City Manager...

I'm sure others have notices that if one changes the quality of a tile (i.e. chop), the city manager will stop working that tile and move to another one. Which leads me to believe he makes dynamic decisions. Which got me to thinking....

BTW, I know given some time I could test these, but humor me.:D

- If I leave the manager on, but go in and dink with what squares are being worked, will he just change them back to whatever HE/SHE/IT thinks is best?

- If I select one of the "emphasize" buttons. Does it reconfigure from scratch which tiles are getting worked, or does that just change the placement of new worked tiles when the population increases.

Thanks in advance for any help.

J.

In answer to the first bit - changing which tiles are worked switches the manager off.

And the second bit - it does tweak what's currently being used, not just where it puts new citizens.

Thanks. Assuming the city manager is now off. What happens when I add population. Is a random tile worked? Or, does it just add a citizen which I need to assign to a tile?

It'll assign it to a tile. Not sure if it's random, though.

Even if your city manager is off, it selects the tile it considers to be the best one in this situation. I'm unsure if it takes any emphasize into account if the manager is turned off, though. Regardless, most people are smarter than the AI so it's only useful for us lazy bastards.
