City Screen interface not showing up with BUG

Hello,

I've recently installed BUG and encountered a strange problem. It seems to load fine, but whenever I double-click a city to enter the city screen, a significant portion of the interface is simply missing. For example, it looks like this first attachment.

Also, sometimes when I start a new game or load an existing one, the entire interface is gone, until I ALT-TAB in and out of Civilization IV. Perhaps the two are related.

The first problem makes using BUG unplayable, unfortunately, and I hope someone can help me fix it. I've tried both installing BUG as a "custom asset" and as a mod, but encounter the same problem in both instances.

Any help would be appreciated.

This looks like there's a conflict with some other Python change you made in your CustomAssets or core game Assets folder. Please see the Troubleshooting page for instructions on how to help us diagnose and solve the problem.

That's odd. This is a pretty vanilla BTS install (Civ IV, Warlords, then BTS -- never installed any other CustomAssets or otherwise changed any Assets folder). I'll post the logs when I return home this evening. For the sake of completeness:

OS Version: Windows 7 RC
BTS version: 3.19
BUG/BAT version: BUG 4.0
Installation source: EXE
Installation method: singleplayer (CustomAssets) or multiplayer (Mods folder) (tried both)

Please double-check that you have 3.19 installed from the MAIN MENU : ADVANCED : ABOUT THIS BUILD. It should say 319. Hopefully the logs will provide the clues.

Oh boy, this is embarrassing. Turns out I had updated BTS to v. 3.19 on a different machine, not the one I was working on. It seems to be working like a charm now.

Apologies. The old adage of "garbage in, garbage out" still pertains!

Implicit Power,

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 RC Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assitance and feedback.
