IC: The GKS has expressed interest in the purchase of the bank. Would $30000 do for the bank? We can enhance the bank's security and allow the money to be used to enhance the lives of the city, especially for the students and the hospital. We are businessmen and banking would suite us very well.

I sat atop the roof, looking over the city. The civil war that had torn the region came from within Metro itself, but the wreckage extended far beyond the city. The Sjyvy Jymra had come from that way, out of the wreckage of the neighboring cities, where Kell's followers had fled after his death, sowing destruction in their wake.

All was not lost, however. In the years since Murdock's death - torn off the roof of his media empire in the second year of the civil war - the surrounding region had made some progress. More distant cities had rebuilt their infrastructure, restored ties with the rest of the world, moved on from the violence that once plagued the area.

Still, some things are hard to change, and peace has not arrived in Metro yet...

Spoiler To address some issues :

First off, while TF had indicated to me before that he might drop, I wish to remind you all that, if you can't meet the 48 hour mark, just tell me why - RL always trumps the game - and it won't be an issue.

Secondly, all of Ogilvie's assets - including his home, Metro Bank, Mettrade, and all of his property - are now in the control of the Council. What happens to those things is up to the Council.

Finally, while this game is now a canon sequel to the original, some things - building locations and Urist McDon's death, most obviously - have been retconned to fit with the new game/seem less absurd (I'm looking at you, communist lion riders).

Nazi Announcement

Due to the inherent treachery, criminal acts, and terrorism displayed by the Soviet Metro, the Nazis hereby denounce the Communist organization. We call for an organized boycott of all metro tunnels and stations, to be continued until the Soviets decide to solve their problems and disputes through less violent means. All Nazis are encouraged to avoid the Metro.

Event Update #3:
As night falls on the city, much of the chaos striking the central portions has faded. Soviet Police and City Police have successfully ended the assault on Metro General, the Cosmopolitan Security Bureau is requesting an arms grant from the police, and crime an gang violence are slowly being driven out of the neighborhoods.

In the western portions of the city, gains have been made, however, a recent attempt by the police to claim the gun factory has led to a firefight between Dr. Stein's employees and the city's protectors.

In the east of the city, a different story entirely is unfolding. Twenty-seven students were killed this afternoon as armed gunman, reportedly affiliated with the Metro Soviet, carried out an organized massacre on the university campus. Police claim to have arrested all of the perpetrators, however, no further information is available at this time.

The Green Knights and the Sjyvy Jymra have found themselves in an all-out gang war, devastating much of the area between the fortified slums and Hotel Victoria. After Green Knight forces shot and killed several Sjyvy Jymra members to secure their hold on the illegal drug trade, retaliations have resulted in murders across both sides territories, and the gang has now breached Hotel Victoria's walls. Citizens flee the streets in fear, praying to avoid the crossfire, as the burning hotel stands out; a frightening beacon in the night...

OOC: For some reason I thought that the game rules had been changed so that you could only send in one order and then none until an update... Checking, I now think I was mistaken. So can you just spam orders whenever you want still? The reason I didn't post again because I was waiting until the culmination of the event.

Evil Media Empire here, bringing you the news that those in power don't want you to know. Our investigators are hot at work trying to find out the reason behind the mysterious departure of Mr Ogilvie! The Igel Corporation has been left in the hands of the ruling council. Officially My Ogilvie left because he found the city too unstable, but with the man unable to comment and vanished people are suspicious of ulterior motives.

Word on the street is that the Nazi group is trying to avoid metro tunnels and stations. Well the only tunnels this reporter knows of are the old abandoned lines beneath the city. They haven't seen the light of day in years since they were the site of many a fire fight. Many are wondering if this is some sort of code and interviewed people are claiming to be on guard against possible Nazi aggression.

The Metro Soviets continue to plague the city while the council does little to handle the matter. When called to comment they state that the Soviets are being framed, but this does little to calm the people who have suffered at the hands of this chaos.

The war between the Green Knights and the Sjyvy Jymra is ongoing. We are trying to get interviews from both sides to find the cause of this violence, but in the meantime we warn everyone to stay away from the East Side until the fighting stops!

Lack of Subways

Due to Communist agents infiltrating our news and information network, it was apparent we were fed false information. Given the lack of subways, Dr. Stein has announced that he will be funding the construction of an actual metro, which shall be boycotted to fulfill the destiny of the Nazi Party! For glory!

Weapons Announcement

All card-carrying Nazis will be eligible for a discount on all arms. A special force is being created, known as the SteinSoldiers, or SS for short. This group will be supplied with Nazi uniforms and top tier weapons. Meanwhile, there shall be an expansion to the gun factory to accommodate the arising demand of arms.

Event Update #4:
Hotel Victoria has fallen.

Sjyvy Jymra and the Green Knights have now begun an all-out war that threatens to consume the city, with the damage spiraling away from both sides. Hotel Victoria lies a burned-out husk this morning, with Sjyvy Jymra forces actively occupying it. Curtis Roscoe managed to escape the destruction to an unknown location, but not before receiving a bullet wound somewhere in his upper body - without professional medical treatment, it is believed extremely likely that the GKS leader will die.

His men march on without him, however. GKS forces have entered the Gray Zone en masse, killing civilians, EME reporters, and Sjyvy Jymra members on sight. No fewer than three reporters have been murdered by Green Knights this afternoon, and civilian and gang counts are unknown. The street wars have spread; the society's armed vans conduct drive-by shootings throughout the city, frequently killing innocents in the crossfire. Some of this chaos has caused severe impediments to the city; these conflicts have blocked the river, preventing ArrowCo - or anyone else, for that matter - from shipping in much-needed supplies from the outside world.

Other portions of the city are not without their own troubles. In the west, a joint force of ArrowCo guards and city police officers have taken over Dr. Stein's gun factory, and prevented the establishment of a second. In the meantime, Stein's men have constructed a minor subway to boycott, which is open to the public.

In an additional show of force, Stein has had five communists executed by hanging.

At Metro City General, a letter has been received from the Metro Soviet, demanding $10,000 worth of morphine by 6:21 this evening. The consequences of not complying have been vague; but implicate a public bombing.

Not all is lost, though - at Metro General, Hia'aka's followers have been helping the hospital back onto it's feet. Metro University's student riot has finally ended peacefully, and the Council has permitted the Cosmopolitan Security Bureau to use loaned weapons for the duration of the conflicts, so long as they remain under police orders and report all intelligence to City forces.

We don't expect the hospitality or comfort to be high, but it will hopefully be safe. This shelter will be free to those who work a job in our company.

On the other hand, we will expect all members of your organization to be open to interviews and providing the people with the truth for accountability.
