I was just over at http://pc.ign.com/previews/12062.html?3459.65.1 looking at the Civ 3 preview, just look at the current poll!

Edit: Oh...the title was cut off.

Hee hee... Call to Power stinks.

No surprise that more than 55% picked Civ II, Civ II rocks!

Civ-2 of course. But who doesn't remember the opening fanfare from Civ-1?

Yeah... you're right. I grew up with Civ1. The intro theme is something I remember well.
But Civ2 is the best Civ so far. ( I haven't played Civ3 yet so we'll see) I used to have Civ1 on a Macintosh LC. Yeah, that's old, but it was great.

CIV2 FOREVER!!!

Well, it must be close to the Armageddon. Lord, you know that I won’t fly by that lesson you taught me, to pull out my Wesson you brought me, and i’m not stressin’ it softly. Get ‘em up off me, ‘cause all we wanted harmony, been bombin’ ‘em. Yell up outta my ghetto, “I won’t settle,” get on my level.

For a while I liked Alpah Centauri better, but it had no staying power. CIV II is it!

Easily Civ II...but I can say that because I
haven't played much of the others. I would
like to get into Alpha a bit more, but I am
way too busy playing Civ II!

I remember getting hooked on the greatest game ever made with my purchase of the Sid Meier threepack of Covert Action (not too fun), Civ 1 and Pirates. The only game that comes even to Civ is AH's Diplomacy, and that is only fun when you have people playing it. I can only pray that Civ 3 is NOTHING like the useless beer coaster that is Call to Power.

I agree with all you guys. I had my eyes on CivII sitting on the shelf at compuserve, but just couldn't bring myself to buy it until I downloaded the warez version of it. I guess warez are a good form of advertisement.

I can't believe Activision tried to copy the almighty Sid Meier's CIVILIZATION.

What can I say?
