Hello, I recently installed Civilization III and Conquests exapansion pack on an old computer. The problem is that when I try to run the game, the title box pops up showing (not the actual game, just the thing that shows up before it lanches) but then after a little while the box disappears and nothing happens. I looked in the task manager and it shows that it is running but then it cuts off after the box disappears.
The computer that I tried to install it on is an Intel Celeron 433mhz, 256MB RAM, and currently has Windows 98 SE on it. Civilization III conquests is supposed to be compatible with 98. Neither CIV3 or Conquests works. They both installed fine and I've installed them on other computers (including a celeron 400mhz, a P3 450mhz, as well as P4s and AMD XP CPUs) so I know the disks are fine. I've reinstalled them multiple times and still doesn't start up. Is there anything that anybody knows of that I can do to get it to work.
